I don't know if you caught the end when he was was removing his makeup and wig. He was the blonde woman! He missed her so much that he became her. Also, fun fact: the part where he broke the glass and cut his hand was REAL because this is such a personal song to him and the passion and pain were/are so real. They decided to keep that in the video to display that.

It’s also a lot deeper then just a girl. Paul helped him out writing it because around that time Corey wasn’t writing slipknots music. He wasn’t a song writer just a frontman. After Paul died this song became a lot more sad for him.

Thank you for this reaction! This is one of the 5 best songs ever in my opinion. "I still press your letters to my lips, and cherish them in parts of me that savor every kiss." is the greatest line about lost love/longing that I've ever heard in song, poetry or literature of any kind. It perfectly encapsulates missing someone you lost.

This song deals with a big let down from a person who was there from a bad time in his life. He thought she felt the same as he did with her and in the end she let him down. It was the push he needed to get to know who he really was and to go forward. Personal song for him and others I am sure. I like it when you pause without saying anything. I can see you working through the lyrics and doing your best to figure things out. Good job, keep going strong!

This is now my most favorite reaction video. You watched the song twice, and I watched your reaction video twice. You described the deeper elements of this song BRILLIANTLY. 4:12 - 4:26: That's exactly how I feel sometimes. It's not the case that I'm not thinking or feeling, it's that I'm thinking or feeling so much, I can't even express it adequately in the moment -- especially if the thoughts or feelings are contradicting themself in that moment. That's the sign of a good song or conversation, though, where we can't even pretend or give some rehearsed response, we're just sort of struck silent from the magnitude of that moment. 17:10: "Love is not that easy to find, and to handle." Deep and true. 22:25 -- "But we go through self-discovery and in the end of this discovery, we find out who we really are." YES. 100% Self-discovery can be painful and scary, though, and I think that is why it is often avoided. Sometimes we just kind of dip our toes in the water of self-discovery to see what happens, and that might lead to the concept that you described as emotional tennis. I really like that concept a lot. That is the source of his conflict, though, isn't it? He is seeing the truth but he is not quite yet ready to embrace it, so he uses his art in the form of this song to help him process it. You explained it so well. He wants something that scares him, so he pushes it away, and that reinforces his negative feelings. It's a vicious cycle, a self-fulfilling prophecy. Wish I could reach out and give this guy a hug and let him know there is light on the other side of all of this. It comes from believing in yourself and others, and not expecting yourself or others to be perfect, and focusing on what is good and focusing on love and not just hurt. Acknowledging the hurt is there but not dwelling on it to the point that it takes too much of your time away from other things, and then ultimately finding ways to use it as a fire -- not to burn yourself and others by letting it rage uncontrollably, but rather to use it as rocket fuel to propel you in positive ways. It is ALL energy -- love and hate and hurt and hope -- it's just a matter of taking it all and using it in a positive way. Like any fire, it can burn you and those around you, or it can cauterize the wounds. It all depends on how you use it. He took off his mask for this one, literally and metaphorically, and I appreciate it so much when others do this, because it makes it easier for us to take our own masks down. That's what true art does, I think, even though it ironically sometimes comes in the form of a mask; and then perhaps a mask being taken down. It allows us to discover deeper parts of ourselves, during the discovery of the deeper parts of others. It is truth through art, because true art is simply honest self-expression. What is more noble?

It was from the Movie " Eyes Wide Shut " by Kubrick i didnt try so hard to understand a story, in the end i ve reached deep meaning and morality you drew for everyones ( now i'm stronger than yesterday..😉) . You are so sensitive to share feelings that you feel relating to something you experienced in your past, that 's wonderfully done You⭐! Think about these three lines from three separate parts of the song, now put them together: "If I'm alone I cannot hate, You couldn't hate enough to love, You refused to fight" It sounds like he had problems, maybe problems with rage, she was trying to help him but she couldn't endure his rage and hate enough to truly love him. He would fight a lot but she didn't want to fight so she left him. "Love is just a camoflage for what resembles rage"
