It's not really a fair comparison to compare a fun concert activity with what a preacher tells a crowd to do. The singer isn't telling you how you should live your life or trying to tell you some big truth.

Sori missed the whole point of slipknot. Their fans call themselves maggots, and maggots stick together. The pastor comparison is stupid. Corey isn't claiming to represent a god that doesn't exist to have power over people, as pastors do. They love his music (which exists, unlike god) and they are there to experience the concert and have fun. Talk about missing the point.

@@VinAndSori admittedly, this isn't the right format for an apologetics debate...but the point being made, inelegantly, is about the validity of the claims. A genuine resurrection would be a great reason to give the benefit of the doubt as you explore more... but the resurrection is part of the book, part of the claim. It isn't a resurrection, it's a claim that a resurrection happened. Other books contain that, too. Other religions. Why this one and not another? Not my intention to kick off an examination of your faith right here, I'm here to hear your reaction to the music, but your response to PT S made a mistake (in my opinion) that needed to be pointed out.

@@pts3896 I didn't mean you shouldn't address their religion... just that comment sections are a piss poor place to have a religious discussion. They aren't exclusive, meaning others, like myself, step in and alter the discussion, everyone gets alerted of the next post, most everyone wants to comment on the latest comment and it tends to snowball into a shit fest far more often than any reasonable exchange happens. Eventually everyone gets frustrated or bored and leaves only to be pulled in six months later when a new person stumbles over the video. That's my big objection to having any serious debate on any topic, religion, politics, ethics etc in a comment section. I just wish I had the fortitude to resist, myself.
