Bass and drum.... the backbone of every song

Richard Jones Drums keep tempo and time, while bass gives the “reverb”/thickness of the guitars... Both are quite under appreciated

+Michaels Covers honestly just get some fresh strings and use a sansamp bass driver on the svt preset with the gain pushed a little more, most of this tone simply comes from how low he tunes and the fret buzz

Amazing drummer, for sure. But Grey was not a great bass player. He got the job done. But come on guys, I could teach a non player how to play that in 20 minutes..just as long as they could remember where to put their fingers a few things. I did see him use an up stroke in this song, however. I'm sorry, but I am not going to pretend that he was this great player ,just because the dude died. He got the job done. But he was far from being a good player.

***** Yeah they have grown on me, they both work hard and are talented musicians. I was just saying if something happened where Jay couldn't play with the band anymore I think Roy would be a good replacement. Have a great day/night and keep rockin'! \m/

RainingBlood97 Yeah man I got your idea... But honestly, I really think that Jay will stay for a long time. He is only 25 years old, hes got a lot of energy, I dont know if you saw him live, I did, and he is a fucking beast behind those drums. He is really enjoying it, it was his dream to play with Slipknot, he was maggot since he was 8yrs old :D Have a great day too and keep on rockin man!

***** Yeah, I agree. He puts a lot of heart and energy behind the kit. I have seen him with Slipknot several times and honestly he did a better job each time than Joey did the last time I seen him with Slipknot. Joey was slowing down big time not even halfway through the set and he threw everyone else off, he just wasn't into it anymore and you could tell, but Jay was on point each time and you could tell even Clown liked him (I seen some of the comments Clown made) and Alessandro was great as well. He also did his best but he sticks to the back too much and you can see them trying to get him to move up with them instead of being right in front of Jay's riser the whole time.
