i love the telecaster body and i love the look of the humbuckers on a tele. which would make this guitar absolutely perfect, but jim had the volume button so close to the bridge. everytime i play a fender i end up turning the volume down without even knowing it.

I have the same issues on Strats, but on my JR Tele I've never once accidentally nudged the volume knob. I know it seems counter-intuitive, but having the knob there makes it easier to get to for swells yet harder to accidentally hit. Also, the pot they use on it seems to be a bit more resistant to nudges. Just my .02

Ben Lucke right right, a traditional tele body has the pots and tone selectors on that strip way off to the side ya know? Which is probably why its the only fender guitar i would buy. I learned how to play on a jackson so i never had to worry about accidentally turning shit down.

FL 623 Practice at 100bpm, keep practicing in that speed, then you add other 10 and keep practicing at 110bpm, then you add other 10 and keep it up that way bro, I promise in no time you will be shredding like this dude! Rock on Mate! my actual speed is 150bpm so Keep practicing!
