I was there in the crowd. I had been to every Download Festival up until this year (which I didn't attend) and this one was my favorite one across the whole weekend. It was the best I have ever seen Slipknot play (have seen them 6-7 times) They really were on fire that night. Luckily for everyone else on the bill they were the headline act so no one had to follow them we just all went back to our tents to get ready for the next day lol. Great reaction to this and just know Slipknot are still touring regularly and still play one hell of a show so you haven't missed your chance to see them yet at all.

Was also in that crowd and it was quality! I remember it feeling like a good 2 hours or so of walking back from the mainstage to my campsite where my tent was set up but everyone was just so hyped after the show.

Ah... I love this band. 3:03 I have to admit when they first came out, I wasn't feeling it much. Until I opened the lyrics. Corey's lyrical ability is what got me sold on the band. 3:20 Yes, Mick is fucking ginormous lol. The other guitarist, Jim, is a big guy too though. I went through a meet and greet during Stone Sour (Corey and Jim were both a part of it) I shook Jim's hand, and it fucking engulfed mine up to the forearm lol. My first time seeing them was in 2004, but it was a short set being part of a festival, so they didn't do this song. I FINALLY saw them again this year in March on their own tour in Wichita, KS. I had to drive 3 hours there and 3 hours back, but it was worth it. The "jump the fuck up" part is such a rush. You want to see them? July 20th: Bucuresti, Romania. July 30th: Oberhausen, Germany. These are your chances. Do NOT pass them up. They put on an epic show.

From this video in 2009, 2 Slipknot members have since passed away tragically - bassist Paul Gray, and drummer Joey Jordison... percussionist Chris Fehn (the long nose mask) was fired recently.... Nobody followed them that night, nobody ever follows them. Usually when a band debuts or even after their second, or sometimes third album, a band opens for a more established act which was the case for slipknot through half of their first year touring. But they would play so hard and loud and aggressively that half the crowd would leave after they were done and the headlining bands would be like “what the f*&#, where’d everybody go?” so eventually bands didn’t want slipknot to open for them so because of that, slipknot became a headliner during the rest of their debut tour(which is extremely rare) and have been ever since. Just a fun fact 😊
