@@anti-socialcustoms8441 bro, get over it. jay is good drummer, he brought nice compositions to the band but he wasn't playing good live. rushing tempos, doing lazy fills, just sloppy. eloy and joey are very much alike in lots of aspects and eloy is definitely a better match to slipknot. may jay find good recognition of his work playing for ST,, because slipknot wasn't enjoying it.

As good as Jay was, the fact is there hasn’t been a buzz around slipknot like this in a very long time. I’m interested to see what Eloy brings writing wise. It’s always hard entering a band this established especially when the drums are such a major part of the bands identity because of Joey. I personally hope he finds a way to put a lot of himself in the first record he does with them because trying to do what you think the fans want to hear is always going to end badly.

I liked Jay, but the two things that always bothered me was that his drumming, while technically good, was not very strong and the sound would get lost behind the vocals and other instruments. Additionally, his tempo always seemed too fast which caused some songs to sound disjoined. Eloy is restoring both that strong drum sound and the slower tempo.
