Hmm, Imo Slipknot overall sounds a lot more advanced, ofcourse with some much more simple sounding songs, whereas rammstein sounds a lot more easy to play as they play more with powerchords and slipknot plays a little bit more with single notes. However this is just my opinion on what the songs i've heard from both of them sound like, and others may think otherwise.

It's clear that Rammstein riffs are simpler than Slipknot's but if to take all instruments together, not only guitars, all song, then it's getting more clear that Rammstein songs rock more than Slipknot's. @@filomenyhospis что ты прикопался к уникальности? Это абсолютно не важно, поскольку все уже когда-то было сыграно в том или ином виде. Важно звучание, с этим у Rammstein проблем нет, все на своих местах, ничего лишнего. Из всей подобной музыки лично для меня они выше всех остальных групп на несколько голов. В звуке Раммов есть что-то очень цепляющее, у других такого не встречал. Звук есть, но он не о чем, просто хороший звук.

@@m-h1269 Yup. Exactly that. Ever listen to MFKR? Lots of jazz and funk vibes all over the place on that. Those vibes aren't anywhere near as present in the "official" Slipknot discography, but the influence of jazz and funk is definitely present in their work.

@@andrewg7576 That’s simply called groove, which slipknot really doesn’t significantly have a lot of relatively. Especially in their later work. Rammstein is mechanical, industrial and heavy. Slipknot is raw, chaotic, energetic and heavy. Groove is what you get from bands like Korn.

I prefer Slipknot music when it comes to full song with everything included, but when it comes to just pure rhytm+drums, let's face it, that's just unfair competition. Rammstein are built on being catchy in their rhytm. That's one of their main features and intentions in their musicality.

I'm a great fan of Rammstein. But I cannot say the same for Slipknot, it's very chaotic for me (of this group, I like a song called 'Snuff'). Of Rammstein, I like great part of their songs.
