This is the second video of an 8 day trip lure fishing for big pollack on the Outer Hebrides. This time we're on South Uist, and after a slight medical emergency in the morning, we got on our kayaks, paddled through some amazing country and reached a small island and found lots of fish!

Love what you do which is why I've been following you all these years. Please tell me though that from time to time you take one for the table, I'd love to see your spin on a catch n cook. I'm I fly fisherman in the south of France, I hit the sea in the off season. As far as the trout are concerned, or fario as they call the wild ones here, I take one per year on my birthday, I love a trout, smoked with a seaweed salad, it's my little treat to me, for the rest of the season it's catch and release as they are not an unlimited resource and I'm very aware of that, with the change of climate they are being hit hard here unfortunately. The med is devastated, over fished, it's rare you catch something but I will take one bass per season, but it's been a while since I've caught one, I'm an enthusiastic amateur, maybe I could catch more if I was better but still, wouldn't change a thing, one per year. I'd like to see your catch and cook one day. Keep on keeping on, love what you do. All the best 👍

Another great vid. Those rock marks straight into deep water are rare but finding one is liking striking gold. I know a few at most in Scotland where I go, which are easily accessible on foot (no not Neist Point !) and the pollack fishing is great. Usually a fish every 3 or 4 casts. Have you thought of doing a vid for Sea Trout fishing in Scotland ? It requires different locations (estuaries etc), and lighter tackle and different techniques etc but there are more locations for anglers to have a go at themselves. Get a good fight off a 3lb Sea Trout.

Superb stuff, Nathan - great shots, great fishing! Live seeing Lewis heft the wee terrier around… my Lurcher would be too interested in the deer! You deserve congratulations; takes a lot of organising, effort and concentration to have such a chilled, exciting and successful adventure. Lovely to watch - made me envious too, as just back home after a 600 mile round trip. Yet my 3 day trip up to Aird and new marks in Northern tip of Skye was battered by mad weather, got munched my midges, broke my bolle polarised glasses, fell chest deep in a bog taking a daft choice ‘shortcut’ near Ben Volovaig, and twisted my ankle rock hopping - with scant fish. One of those ‘ oh, for fuc£ sake’ trips… Get the lures out in Southern Italy Tuesday though fir 2 weeks, then Sheep’s Head in 3 weeks. Must get better soon eh? Looking forward to the next instalment. Stay safe, tight lines. G

Im not an anti by any means as I fish myself and I have to say the way those Pollack are returned isnt very good for their survival rate-seriously ,they are literally bouncing back off the submerged rocks from that height. (9.09) Not a good advert im afraid.
@MobiliaRepairs
@MobiliaRepairs Жыл бұрын
He realises them fine, the height helps with pushing a gush of water through the gills and gives them a quick burst of oxygen to go back. No fish landed on rocks so nothing to worry about and you can see they swam off perfectly! 👏
