@@N1GHTH4WK986 And it was a waste not on a player that was Soo far behind already. Its amazing that Dan wasn't able to lock up the game with it out, but that was in part due to the weird board state caused by him grabbing the defender sliver which IMHO was a massive misplay as it squandered his massive lead and gave the sliver player tons of gas to draw more slivers. Yeah, no one saw obliteration coming, but even without the obliteration the sliver deck was still in a good spot.

Hi! Thanks again for some great content. Couple more rules comments that my quick perusal of the below didn't see anyone point out: 1. If you don't cast a spell with Cascade, it gets put on the bottom of the deck with the other cards. Unless Dan cast Gaze of Granite for 0 - which is totally possible - it shouldn't have gone to his graveyard. 2. Split Second does not allow players to cast spells that they Cascade into if they're still on the stack. So at 15:39, Dan could not have cast his Snapcaster or given his Bribery Flashback.

@MTGMuddstah4 жыл бұрын

@DarkEinherjar4 жыл бұрын
Yes. Doubling Season was printed at a time when planeswalkers didn't exist as actual cards, and because of its wording, it causes PWs to enter the battlefield with twice the usual amount of loyalty counters (it doesn't double the loyalty gain from their + abilities, though, as these counters are put as the cost, not the effect). For most planeswalkers, this means entering the battlefield ready to ult.
