So many questions that I can't answer........... Who's Sloan? Why does Nathan (or dad, in this case presumably) think this guy in the truck looks like Sloan? Was Sloan this guy in his past life who knew Dad (or, in a different case, Andan) before or during the CFBDSIR 2149-0403 incident, and does he remember his past life if that is the answer? Is this individual I SAW A UFO IT WAS TIGHT? (considering he's linked and pinned, this question's most likely right...) Why is ISAUIWT a new series by Nathan himself, as well as it's own channel that was created in 2015? What WAS ISAUIWT back in 2015; did it have the same name, different content..? How early was this ARG in production? Why is Dad -or whoever this is- in the desert? And, most importantly, why did Dad/Nathan/Andan grow a beard? I think he looked better without it........

I kind of just got into this dad thing a few days ago, and have found myself completely immersed in the story, since I happen to have some extra time on my hands atm. I've watched most of the videos on dad's channel (besides a few lyric videos and livestreams). I've also been paying attention to some linked channels, especially Nathan's channel, and scarlet. But I'm asking you this right now because I recognize your username as a very active commenter on A LOT of dad's youtube videos, and I think you have some authority on this: So, a year after posting your comment, do you think sloan's video is still relevant after seeing act 3 and more recent content? either way, i'd love to hear why, or why not. I'd much appreciate your input here because again, I see you as a very active component of the way this story unfolds.

@@josephkohl8875 At the time this video was posted, it had been named 'Nathan', not 'Sloan Burmel'. When it was fresh and my original comment was made, the course the story of Dad's Life had Nathan set on the track of remaining in 1999 for an undisclosed amount of time, possibly forever, seemingly as a means of 'writing him out' of the story. However, this caused more issues with the narration: how could Nathan be in the current day while also being 'put on a bus' to 1999? Originally, 'Nathan Barnatt' was not intended to be a character within the series, but the 'ARG' aspect of his channel and appearance being stolen was instead a very intriguing way to draw Nathan's existing audience into his new channel and series. The downside, though, was people thought it was a significant part of the overall plot. If you want to hear more on this, there's a few streams and the Original Podcast episode 'Should Creators Stay In Character?' that talks on it. As time went on and things just weren't aligning well, things changed: this video was renamed, simply, to Sloan Burmel, Dad added a comment and pinned it with [This is not connected to Dad's Life.] and retroactive continuity kicked in. Nathan the Character was brought back to the present, and was given another story arc and plot line to try to tie that end up a little neater. As a result, personally, I don't think it's really relevant to the overall Dad story any longer. However, the history behind it and the change in gears to accommodate a living, interactive story, is one I think is worth remembering and telling. :) Someday, though, we will see Sloan Burmel's story on his channel, I Saw A UFO It Was Tight... but it likely has no place in Dad's Life, other than, perhaps, having fun references.
