With equipment like this there’s always maintenance to be done! Good job, glad your dad was around to help out! Thanks for posting the video!

I was researching just before tackling this project on my ls180 NH. I cut the middle support and spread the pins apart. Not needing extra washers. My support was bent making it difficult to connect attachments. Thanks for supplying me with this info. 👍

I do these all the time and i can do them in about 45 minutes or so but there is tools that make it easier if your doing them all the time.

Do you have part numbers where I can order the shims?

So did you only shim it from one side? Makes sense to me you should have split the difference and done both sides

I know it's late as your video is a year old But that's a taperd pin and seat design Once that pin get torqued into the seat that's a tight interference fit Usually we smack the boss(seat) on the top where the taper is with a 12 pound sledge to shock the seat Pin comes out easy then If not hit it again When you torque it We smack the boss with the 12 pound again and retorque We repeat until it stops moving

My brand new Yanmar YT359C came from the factory with more side to side slop than that. Shims is next on the agenda.

Watched whole video just to see what tools you used to get the pin out and you cut it out of the video! Awesome

Sorry! We used a sledgehammer and a pipe and just beat it on it until it popped out

I use a brass punch, to mitigate damage…the brass flakes off and chips off before gouging.

So how did you get the pin out that was the most important part???
@mc-qx6ue3 ай бұрын
I like to just move tilt the bucket back and forth, it eventually works itself out. Just like when the nut comes loose.

Dont understand why deere never engineered a better design they should have never left new holland. This was always a common issue even on the old 200 series loaders

I have the same problem. Do you have the JD part number for those shims? I can’t find them in the JD parts catalog
@idigit49672 жыл бұрын
I don't have the part no sorry. I can ask, my buddy Greg that works there told me these are actually shims for a JD excavator but the pin size was the same so it worked.

Or heck, just the measurements on them. (inside and outside diameters)
@anthonycash46092 жыл бұрын
Good job , but you would have been better off adding 3 shims to each side rather than to add them all just to one side. It would have taken a little longer but would have been the right way to fix it.

Surprised you only shimmed one side, just pay attention to the other side. You pushed the entire plate assembly to the passenger side 1/4 inch so you probably will be fine...

Torque it to 400ft lbs and you shouldn't have a problem
