Tiny crack’s in between the valve seats don’t cause issues; there’s no water directly below. Those are surface cracks. Send it! 👍😎

Some brands of head bolts actually are threaded farther up like that one old one you had. I believe Enginetech (which a lot of companies rebrand and sell as their own) is one of them. Summit’s are that way too.

None of the gen 5s I’ve done have any top head bolts, only the 2 rows of head bolts with the funky one over cylinder 1 for the cooling jacket
