Welcome to SLOTDOG Nation! One Pro SLOTDOG tip is to ensure the hot dogs are still firm and cold right out of the fridge next time you slot them, as that is most likely why they squished when you were slotting them (being too warm), and why the piece came off into the grid which doesn't happen as easily when the hot dogs are cold and firm. We sometimes even toss them in the freezer for 10-15 mins before we slot. That should have you slotting like a pro in no time! Happy Slotting, Team SLOTDOG

We use Slot Dog often. We love hotdogs and we love slot dogs even more. I was surprised by how sturdy it is. We do like to slot them slightly frozen. Making me hungry just talking about it.

A very interesting product. I do like crispy textures on foods. Those hot dogs look great. Cheers, Dave!

Not a fan of hot dogs, but enjoyed the video. Nice to see interaction with your son, made me chuckle. And you said "Tube Steak" 🤣

My dad always jokingly referred to hot dogs as tube steak. I love that term, because steak is the last thing you think of. Thanks for watching

Hmm, I guess it’s easier than the ol’ spiral cut with a knife., I never thought that was worth the trouble. The slot fog seem faster.

Nice review. They want $30 CDN for it so........ If I may please pick your brain. I am going to try your chicken recipe but being in the Great White North we have to buy our hard wood from local BBS. We can't get chunks, just chips, average is about a 2lb bag. The smoker is small at 244 sq inch grill. Should I just use regular coal or mesquite coal and do I put the chips directly on top or should they go into some sort of holder? I have a suggestion for a side business. All the wood we buy in store is made in U.S.A. Thank you for any help you can offer.

I would take the chips soak them in a bowl of water for maybe an hour or so. Then wrap them up in a tin foil pouch and poke four five holes about an inch long in the tinfoil. Put the pouch on top of the coals. When the smoke starts dying down, put another pouch on the coals.

I have tons of bugs and frogs in the Forest behind my house. The music was to drown out that noise.
