Fun fact: Diodato dedicated this song to his ex "Levante" who also participated in Sanremo. They are very mature people so their story didn't end in drama and both respect each other highly. I wanted to specify this because although the song is a sad ballad, it doesn't talk about losing love due to betrayal (it's just about two people that stopped talking like they used to). The rumor that this song is dedicated to her comes from another singer "Coez". Levante was backstage listening to Diodato performing, and someone overheard Coez telling her "you know he talks about you, right?". Every media is talking about this now.

Good gossip shared. The song is better than any song I heard so far from Eurovision. I thought Arcade was electrifying. This one gives me goose bumps and brings uncontrollable tears out. Puts me in a very emotional state and I’m a very happy person. Don’t know what power the combination of Diodato’s voice, the orchestra, or what... so far, all songs but a couple already selected this year are great. This Fai Rumore is the best. Don’t think is going to be third or forth. Will first or second.

Fai rumore… This song is absolutely perfect and heart touching. I listened to interview with Diodato where he is telling what this song is about. He says it is about relationships and how important is it to talk with your friends, people we love, how important is it to keep connections. When I am listening to this song myself it always blows my mind away to tiers as there is the only one person I am thinking about listening to it - my beloved brother who passed away more than two years ago and is silent forever to this world. So this performance, music, voice, as you say, is “out of this world”, it is definitely master peace and absolutely goes to the deepest parts of my heart and soul. I believe it is able to touch hearts of everyone who is open to beautiful music.

You are so sweet , Brandon ! I 've listened that song 20 times and i listened it two more times here, just to see you react and live every note, i am glad that men also cry when listening to this song, i thought i was out of line crying after the audition, but, there you are, explaining so well some of the reasons why the song is so emotional and powerful. I reccomend you to listen to the album "Forse sono pazzo" , i think you will cry to all the songs in the album and i personnaly think that "Ubriacco" is more beautiful and more spectaulously orchestrated , like a sad, slow lascive tango that leaves you heartbroken, but happy in mean time, that you can feel those long forgotten feelings that you thought they were dead and burried....i don't know if that makes any sense :). He can sing almost everything from ballads to rock , from angel style to devil style. I think you know that "Fai rumore " was inspired ( also he denies) from the recent breack-up from his ex-fiancee, Levante, tha was also in the San Remo contest with "Tikibomb". They were togethe for two years and their separation is very recent (december) so, i imagine that he is still hurting after her, and you saw very well that he was in his own world while singing and i think Levante was part of that world . I can't immagine why a woman could leave such a talented, handsome guy, but life is complicated and very seldom two big artists manage to have a long and stable relationship. Antonio Diodato is not very young any more , he is 38, and you can feel in his interpretation , his life experience as well as his stage experience. Many of the songs in the album, have a retro sound (old school) and i wish you make a video in order to review the album "Forse sono pazzo" that I listen over and over again for three days. Unfortunatly i won't be able to reach Rome or Milan for his concerts in april , because i live in Romania and i don't have the financial possibilities. Oh, and change that fucking job, allready, Brandon !!! :))))

For now, this is the horse to beat. I think my country, Portugal, Will chose smtg that you will enjoy, too. But Fai Rumore to me is clearly a contender. Nome of the chosen só far comes even close. The lyrics, oh God! So mirroriing the misery of communication in today's relationships. And what a pity there is not an orchestra. The arrangements are so sublime. Diodato's voice is so mellow, yer powerful at once, but I also get blown away by the orchestral part. Check the video clip, also very beautiful. And thanks for your videos, again and again!...

Personally I thought that Elodie with her song Andromeda, composed by Mahmood and Dardust, would be much more suitable for Eurovision, nonetheless I'm so happy that you got so deep into the emotions and vibes of this track. Furthermore Diodato, although he was born in Aosta in Northern Italy, is from my homeplace Taranto, Apulia, in the Heel of the Boot and that makes me even prouder of him! Thanks a lot, Brandon, the way you share your feelings is so touching and be sure you are receiving all the love, along with our good energies and best frequency vibes from Italy!

Thank you so much my friend! :-D Yes I have concerns with Eurovision as this is a different type of song that usually wins, but the quality is there. I'm scared though because a song like Duncan Laurence's won last year and this feels like a year where a dance song or something faster and (shall I say) zanier might win. Ahhhh awesome that he's from your hometown! :-D Italy is one of my favorite countries every year because of the quality and effort....and heart put into every song. I really do love so many of the countries every year and Italy is truly special to the contest. I would love to travel to Italy for Eurovision next year. ;-p This is going to be a hard song to knock out of my #1 spot. :-)

@@TheLethargicSloth Well, we'll see... we never know. I still remember how Salvador Sobral, unexpectedly, touched the hearts and souls of everyone with his ballad and won the competition. The thing that worries me a lot, nowadays, is that the older I get the more addictively I get trapped into music and very often I cry (maybe we've got the same quality of onions...), something that never happened before to me. What's wrong with me? And I'm only 55 y.o.!!! ;-)))
@TheLethargicSloth4 жыл бұрын
@@astroraph8705 I've always been this way myself....I used to put on music and listen to country love ballads that would make me cry going to sleep...haha I'd sit there thinking of the girl I was crushing on at the time....heart just bursting with emotions...and trying to use the songs to inspire me to take action and talk to the girl I liked (cause I was always way too shy...haha). So I've always been sentimental when it comes to music....but I think now even more-so because of life experience and wisdom. It's taught me not to take special moments in life for granted. Like hearing a beautiful song. And it's okay to feel emotions...no need to hide them away. You're just experiencing life when you cry during music...and that's special because a lot of people don't have that ability. You're one of the lucky ones...as somebody wise in the comments section here pointed out to me. :-D I'm in my early 30s and I'm already here....so......yeah...I often think "what's wrong with me?" I've come to accept that I'm just a passionate person....and I don't show that anywhere but here on KZbin and to my closest friends... :-D As far as Eurovision....I hope this resonates and does well. I really want this to do well, but we have a long road to go. I like your comparison to Salvador Sobral.....that could happen here as well. Hearing this song live will be MAGICAL so long as I can get tickets....which I'm gonna try for in March. :-) I would love to film a LIVE reaction.....hahaha

It means a lot to me (the lyrics) for my life right now....being that I knew what the song was about and then hearing THAT VOICE and THAT musical arrangement...it just hit me....haha I'm so very happy with this song...it's something I NEEDED to hear right now....purely inspiring to me. :-) I hope it will grow even more on you but I'm happy that you're happy for what you're sending. :-D

I love your reactions, your smile, it feels amazing to see someone feeling just like myself :) It is even better than just listening to a song. Wow, it is great that you share it :) I felt the same right away I've placed Italy in the first place. But then...Switzerland came, and I guess Switzerland is now in the first place. And yes, a music like that makes me feel the same, inspires me, and frees me somehow.

You can make an argument that any of those can be #1....yes, I am a person who feels deeply in a song....I guess it depends which you feel more of a pull towards. I don't see a wrong answer in Switzerland vs Italy...haha

Hey, I love the song too, and your reaction says as much about its power and about your own sensitivity. Good music is in need of good listeners. The song title translates as "Make noise", a metaphor about the emotional resonance the loved one has in the artist's soul... It may appliy to a lover who has left (or passed) or to someone who has come into the singer's life and is finally taking up space and showing the're alive. Writing from Italy at this very moment, eleven days into our self-imposed exile within our homes, away from work (from my high-school students), this title has been taking on another kind of resonance... One that nearly breaks my heart at the same time as it encourages us to hang on and not give up, and save up the tears for later, when we will be able to afford crying...

I had the same reaction. I loved Gabbani's song. But this one gives the shiver all over.

This song was my winner for Sanremo70 and I am glad it won although it's getting a lot of flak because many think it's not appropriate for ESC. I completely disagree and I will write the same thing I wrote under Diodato's page: this song is perfect for ESC because, even if you don't understand the lyrics, it hits you right in the stomach and your reaction proves it. Rumore is a false friend between Italian and English: it doesn't mean rumor but noise. He begs a past love (many speculate her to be Levante, also a contestant of Sanremo 2020), but the song extends to communication between individuals, to make some noise and break the unnatural silence that has fallen between them.
@TheLethargicSloth4 жыл бұрын
The lyrics speak right to my heart there...as I'm going through something similar in my life. Problems with communication....and trying to break the unnatural silence that sits there like a veil. Then add the music and vocals...and wow...this really hit me hard. What an amazing song! :-D Your comment on Diodato's page is so right...even if you don't understand the words, you can feel it in your heart, soul, and if you're Equinox from Bulgaria, bones. ;-p

@dia6olo Thank you but this is because Sanremo is a musical competition, the one that inspired ESC, intended to celebrate Italian (you can't sing in a foreign language) music and not a selection for Eurovision. I agree that all Countries should sing in their own language and bring songs that represent their culture.

Hi Brandon. Loved your reaction as allways.Same as mine. Just that I started to cry before and gossbumps never stoped.Lol.This is simply a masterpiece. So classic, well done and so, so but sooo good and beautiful. I love diference and originality but classic when well done is allways good.I missed so much Italy at Eurovision those years they didn´t participate. It´s my favorite country at Eurovision. Like Portugal and 1 or 2 few countries more, Italian entries are allways recognizable as Italian music immediately with it´s own identity. I like this a lot. The difference with Portugal is that Italian music is much more "likeble" for international standards.Lol. Even before I know wich song Italy will bring to Eurovision I allways know that I´ll do like it. Can´t remember a Italian song that wasn´t at my final top 5. Usually it´s my top 3. And same as you, Francesco Gabbani was my favorite back in 2017, for me one of the best "Eurovision Like Style" songs ever, ( but as I´m portuguese I lost objectivity that year, I think Italian friends can forgive me for that Lol). The only thing that worries me are the cuts they will have to make in the length of the music ( San Remo´s version of Occidental´s Karma was much better than the final one at Eurovision). Well, I´m sure that, again, it will be one of my favorite this year. P.S. - Can´t wait for your reaction to this year´s Festival da Cançaò. For me the best in years. For the very first time I´m in love with 3, yes 3, not 1, not 2 but 3 songs.Lol. Never happened to me before. As allways at Festival da Cançâo, the great majority are not suitable for Eurovision, but all are quite good I think and there´s no one that I realy don´t like. Second P.S. LOL - Don´t be depressed. You just are a very sensible guy with a beautiful soul. You just have to learn to deal with that.Believe me, when you´ll learn how, life will be so, but so much more easy and beautiful. It´s just a question of time you´ll see. Hugs from Portugal
@TheLethargicSloth4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for your thoughts and input! Yes I can't wait to hear the Festival da Cançaò songs! Portugal and Italy are 2 of my favorite Eurovision countries because both are true to themselves and don't conform to a "Eurovision standard." They do it on their own terms...with their own language and culture...and I respect that so much. I get way more excited to hear songs from Sanremo, Festival da Cançaò or even Festivali i Këngës than I do for Melodifestivalen for example...because the songs might be polished and radio friendly at MF, they have much more heart and originality at Sanremo, FC, and FIK. Well MF does get the occasional masterpiece like Jon Henrik Fjällgren, but the jury just buries him...haha That makes me happy that you love 3 of the songs.....so there are multiple good choices. :-D As far as the depression...I just need to do something that I enjoy with my life as far as my job is concerned. What I do doesn't really help anybody or anything....I'm underpaid, underappreciated...I just need a new environment. Once I change that, I think things will get better. I've worked overnights for many years...and I"m ready to work another normal day schedule again and sleep at night rather than during the day. That will cure a lot of my problems right there I think...a normal work schedule in a job that I enjoy again. I'm a very happy person when I'm doing something that I'm passionate about. Things will get better...I know they will. :-) Thank you for your kind message! :-D
