Slovenia was the 24th country I visited on my round the world tour. I spent only two days there, absolutely not enough! But I got to see some beautiful lakes and catch up with cool peeps!

In April 2017 I left Australia for a solo trip around the world on a BMW F800GS. I named it “Are We There Yet” because I don't know my final destination or the duration of this journey.

How did they build the church on the island ? Easy, there is a giant plug in the middle so they can drain the lake. After they are done they fill up the lake again.

My buddy and I went through Slovenia this past May (2019) on our GS’s but it was pouring rain and cold when we went through Bled. You’re so lucky to have seen it in good weather! Slovenia has some of the best country roads for biking 😁

Hi, Slovenia, such an under rated country, went there in 2016, absolutely loved it, Bled, Triglav Park, etc, i went down the western side following a river, went round 1 corner fully tilted with the police looking straight at me, gave them a wave and rattled off lol

The castle is above you... there is only small church on the island. Maybe you should walk a little, and you would see it

Been to Bled but did you have time to climb the steps to the Monastery and sample the cheese and wine they make for tourism - bet you didn't as it is some climb believe you me!

Do it while your young. Your living the dream. Motorcycles, pretty girls and story book castles on a rock outcrop overlooking a picturesque church in the middle of the lake. I am starting to think that I am living the dream. The island, Bled Island, is home to Pilgrimage Church of the Assumption of Mary. Over the course of several hundreds of years the church has been reconstructed over and over again due to the fact that earthquakes keep knocking it down. Then, as now, they would have rafted or barged over any required materials. A very interesting history, to be sure. Thanks for taking us there.

I don't know whether you are on her bike now to #Africa or you did it but it's good to carry some #food with you 2-3 day supply, won't weigh you much. #Raw veggies or #instant Cook packs. From your last vlog 27 when you won't get food or groceries in #italy and you are hungry and got a little #sad, I also got #sad. When you won't feel good we won't feel good too. So carry some #food with you. Ride #Safe and don't break yourself this time.
