I cheer you that you showed that Ljubljana is not just a castle and three bridges. I appreciate that you walked through so known Emona and that you showed not so known but meningful and beautiful buildings and sights. If you appreciate history and the story of any city or town, you would cenrtanly enjoy the visit.

I appreciate that. It's nice to see the main sites but, a city or region is more than just the major tourist spots. Glad you enjoyed my tour

Slovenia looks amazing to visit, Love the architecture, the calmness of streets and the weather. It reminds me of Prague so much. Love to see some delicious croissant and yummy omlette.

That 1/2 litre of Slovenian beer caught my attention! After a long day of hiking and walking, beer and chocolate are always welcome. I love the scenery around the town and the glimpses of what look like Christmas lights. Your traditional dinner looked amazing.

@@AdventuresOfATravelingDon How much time would you recommend there for a first time visit? And do you suggest going in the winter months or think another season would be better for sightseeing?
@AdventuresOfATravelingDon4 ай бұрын
@@TheAverageTourist I think any season would be fine however, I feel like Fall and winter give you a unique perspective. Particularly from what I've heard when you get out of the city. Bled is a place I never got to myself. But, the way it looks in the snow is a dream of mine.

@@AdventuresOfATravelingDon There are two more stories about the dragon - one is st. George killing it and so the people became christian and another is that there was once heavy rain and it flushed a baby dragon out of its cave and it was about to drown. So a couple of guys rescued it from the water and gave him shelter in park Tivoli. After it regenerated it showed gratitute by locating best tasting water in the region and that's why tap water(and the one used for making beer) tastes so good in Ljubljana :D

Dragon is in the city of Ljubljana's coat of arms. That's why there are dragons everywhere. Even the fans of a major Ljubljana basketball and football club are called Green Dragons.

Jason and Argonavts did stop in area of Ljubljana. Centuries ago in south part of Ljubljana in Ljubljansko Barje was a large lake four thousands years ago in wich dragoon was noticed according to legend. Ljubljansko Barje was then populated by people called Mostiščarji wich had lived in timber houses on piles stick pilled in the lake. In National historical museum in Ljubljana are exbited historical relict also of this very old historical periode like the reminates of oldest wooden canu in the world and the oldest wooden wheel in the world and many more very old relicts from this historical periode.

Č is pronounced exactly as you say it in the begining of ''chocolate'' So try saying ''chockoladniCa'' (read the last C as you did at 'šestica' (not with a K as in ''car''))
