Finally! someone who sets up the camera right! On most tuutorials, including Qbert's DVD (which is a bit shit), the camera is set opposite the turntables making it really confusing to make out what to do. Great tutorial!

I believe this is called a "three click swing" scratch. It is similar to the boomerang except there is an additional click which creates an extra sound going forward and coming back (hence the 8 sound pattern 4 forward, 4 backward) still a tough scratch and goes well with the "swing flare" creating that awesome 16 sound pattern that sounds crazy when looped Example: Swing flare, 3 click swing, swing flare Or Chirp, boomerang, 3 click swing

@bobbystips there are 4 different camera angles on that video. Best video ever, explore your DVD

No it's not...it's a baby scratch with a click at the end the a forward one click flare. Then it's a backwards chirp followed by a 1 click flare backwards with a click at the end. That probably sounds a bit complicated but if you check the link in the video description you will see a TTM diagram explaining it near the bottom of the article. I hope that helps, let me know if you need more clarification.

It depends on what style of autobahn your doing. Massive different variations.

your scratch has 8 sounds, and rafik's has 9. If you look at rafik's video here on youtube, you'll hear nine. The sound you miss is number '6' That being said, this is your own scratch, which makes it cooler than an autobahn anyway, so you should change the name of your video from 'slow autobahn scratch' to whatever you wanna name this scratch. ya dig?

but this is not the autobahn scratch. it's more like the boomerang scratch.
