Cecil got a lot of different influences he's expressing all fantastic, Tomo is right with him not slacking at all, 2 great players with different styles blending perfectly. Total ear candy...

Man that was just amazing! We all know Tomo can play the blues/jazz guitar but where'd Cecil come from!? Is he a student! Cecil if you read this that was great man! I love your instincts and you're an amazing collaborater. I could have listened to you guys jam for much longer. I truly enjoyed both of you, and what a pleasure to see such a young man already playing at such a high level! Truly gifted and no doubt a hard worker. The sky's the limit for you man. Beautiful and thoroughly engrossing, just a joy to listen to the both of you playing off each other! Thank you! ✌️❤️🎸🎶🙏

Cecil is a teacher at Berklee Guitar Department. Thank you!
@stanphillips72772 жыл бұрын
@@TomoFujitaMusic I thought because he looked so young that he was your student and, was some kind of prodigy or virtuoso. I remember you playing you're Berklee audition cassette from long ago, before you were accepted as a student and you were very good already. It's my first time seeing Eric( Cecil....my mistake....I don't know why I confused Cecil for Eric 😂 maybe I need coffee ☕🤣) That school has some very special instructors huh Tomo?! WOW! It's slightly comforting to know he's a teacher. I think because if he were a student I'd feel like I've really fallen behind in my life. I had a forced hiatus while taking care of my mom for 15 years and although I didn't have to much time to improve, I don't regret for a second being able to take care of her after she had a heart attack,cancer surgery and a broken hip all in 6 months! I never even considered putting her in a nursing home like so many others. She was my best friend and favorite person to play for! She loved everything from Sinatra and Dinah Washington to Hendrix and The Beatles... even Black Sabbath 😂 I took her to Frank Sinatra and Paul McCartney and she loved both shows equally. I loved both Sinatra and Paul myself. My mom was like a bright light. So joyful and always singing and laughing. It was no noble thing or sacrifice at all. I only wanted her to be well and live as long as possible so I could have her around! She had no meanness in her. Just kind and treated everyone equally well. I lost her suddenly in 2017 but, she was 87 and lived a full life. I'm happy she passed away at home with me the way she wanted. Now I have more free time but, I'd trade that if I could have her back without question. I miss her but, it's true that it gets easier in time so I'm okay. I'm glad she's not suffering anymore and, I believe she's in a better place now. I'll see her again. So I'm doing well and, learning the things I couldn't when I was very busy. She'd have liked you Tomo! Both of you are very positive! I'm happy even though I miss her every day so I don't mean to bring you down! She'd want me to be happy and enjoy my life. She'd be happy I'm going to play again. I'd play for her if she felt like that. I learned "Ain't Misbehavin" from tabs when I was a beginner and, she loved to sing that with me but, she'd sing everything she knew. I'm passionate about music because she was passionate about music! I'm very lucky to have had her , there was no bigger fan of music than my mom!! Again, Cecil and you jamming was just sensational! Both such great guitar players! If you look up it never ends...if you look down it never ends (is that right? What your mom said? ) I'm looking forward to the future and learning to play with a solid foundation laid down. It's fortunate for me that I have a good enough guitar and a great teacher like you Tomo! I'm going to pick up where I left off and work hard to improve from there! It's exciting! Give my best to Cecil and I'll talk to you soon. Always an honor Tomo, Thank you! ✌️❤️🎸🎶🙏
