Thankyou for this video I suffer from memory due to epilepsy but aside from this I've been neglecting myself for about 4 years now and need to rehabilitate myself into making meals again I do enjoy cooking but I can't remember the last time I made a meal for myself but I'm making mince and dumplings today following your video please do make more I'm sure there are others out there struggling like me and the not so serious attitude and warmth in your videos are a very homely feel. Thankyou so much my life is coming back x

Hi Megan 💜 Thank you for sharing your story with me. I can't even begin to understand how hard things are for you 💕 I'm so glad to hear you're now taking life head-on and starting to cook again, slow and steady, and wins the race as they say. I have 2 multi cookers now, which have replaced my slow cooker as they have a slow cook function aswell as pressure cook and their amazing for quick meals that keep the nutrition better than standard cooking. I have a few play lists and hope you'll find other recipes you like. Take care, lovely and happy cooking x

Hi Lindz, if when making a chicken casserole with dumplings, one thing I always do is mix a little sage and onion stuffing into the dumpling mix…absolutely gorgeous 🤤. Loved your dog’s contribution to your video 😂😂 Take care, Gill X

Would like to have a go at this, but have no idea how slow cookers work, I mean I don’t even have one, any chance of recommending one, and also maybe other recipes? Maybe a bit to ask, I know, but you did manage to teach me a lot about air fryers thru your videos, so there is hope for me maybe😊 hope you are well lindz. Great video. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪😊
@LindzandLife Жыл бұрын
Hi Michael 👋 No pressure there 🤣 I do think slow cookers have to be the easiest of all the kitchen gadgets to use. And there are so many on the market now, depending on your budget. My instant pot also does slow cooker mode with the added benefits of being able to fry and pressure cook. But most haven't got one, so I'm trying to include everyone. My choice would be a multi cooker like the instant pot or ninja do some but they are expensive. I'm watching them for sales 😊 x
@MichaelSmith-lb4kv Жыл бұрын
@@LindzandLife thanks for taking the time answer me Lindz, I will have a look into it, if I find something then I’ll get back to you and ask for your opinion, sounds good to have a multi cooker.anyway, have a good weekend, and take care of yourself. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪😊 x

@@LindzandLife Hi Lindz. I have the Ninja 4.7, the 6, and the 8. All the pressure cooker type I am getting the one, like your dual tray for Christmas I already have it, but cant use it before Christmas. I also have the Instant Pot duo crisp 8 ltr. Plus a deltawave halogen oven☺️ Spoilt for choice.xx

@annirvin6555 I'm so glad I'm not the only one that has a collection of kitchen appliances 😅 I had the instant pot duo crisp 6 and gifted it away and was planning on getting the ninja foodi 11in1 next year still might. I think I'll have to put a poll up on the community tab to see what other have and want to see x
@annirvin655511 ай бұрын
@@LindzandLife The reason i got the IP duo crisp, was it was cheap compared to the ninjas. Plus i liked the idea of the stainless steel pot To be honest, only used it about six times. It sits on the top of me cupboards. I did fancy the Ninja one lid, but was put off, as i thought that it would be a pain to clean. Never been interested in probes.
@LindzandLife11 ай бұрын
@annirvin6555 That's the same reason I originally got mine 💜 I've now got the mini instant pot and wouldn't be without it it's great for just us then paired with the ninja dual and soon the speedi 😊 I really need to stop online shopping 😅 x

We don't usually cook, or are even able to find, human-grade suet to cook with in the States,Lindz. I know that it probabIy adds a great deal of flavor. I could not catch what you said was getting really expensive Ireland, what was it? What is getting really expensive is aluminum foil,(kitchen foil). This looks wonderful.
@LindzandLife Жыл бұрын
Hi Tonette 👋 Suet is getting expensive but so is everything and yes especially tin foil. I stocked up last year, thankfully. I've found a recipe for butter dumplings, so I might try them. Hope you're keeping well 💜x

Hi these recipes are so useful but I wondered if you could just pop down the time/temp that you used otherwise it means rewinding and rewatching. I know it only has to be approximate but it would certainly be very helpful. Thx

Hi Irene 👋 I'm hoping to work on downloadable links for recipes, but I'm only learning the techy side at the moment. As a small youtuber, the only way I get paid is by people watching my videos, and even at that, it's cents. Hope you have a lovely week x

You may find that the temp in a slow cooker is not enough to make dumplings rise. Also adding baking powder helps them rise about 2 teaspoons to one cup of self raising flour.
@Silverdale15 Жыл бұрын
That's not true I put dumplings in they rise quite happily
@grahamjohnson4702 Жыл бұрын
@@Silverdale15 As you can see from this video that dumplings do not always rise in a slow cooker and I was just trying to help people that have dumpling problems if at all. Glad your appliance allows you to have rising dumplings but if you read the back of any ready meal pack it says not all appliances are the same and have variables.
@LindzandLife Жыл бұрын
@grahamjohnson4702 I did try the baking powder before. Not that much, only 1 teaspoon yes thay did fluffy up, but I could taste the baking powder, and I'm not a fan. Personally, I'm happy with my mini dumplings, but I know everyone has their own way x

Hi Lindz. What fat content mince did you use for this recipe? I like to keep to as lean as possible 👍🙏
@LindzandLife11 ай бұрын
Hi Ann 👋 It was lean mince under 5%. I try and get the lowest fat content as there's nothing worse than it all swimming in grease, plus I find it's better quality x

@Silverdale15 Жыл бұрын
Sounds like they mince and fat element not the slow cooker recipe....I too had that issue with some mince I've since thrown it out....I do get rid of any excess fat after the mince has been pre cooked before I add any more to it ...but if the mince is greasy it will be awful...so Im now very critical on the mince I buy !
@Brenda-lp5vr Жыл бұрын
