Slow living in Finland

Nothing slow about this video or spring to be honest, but I was low on title ideas and the video is already late. A bunch of gardening and working towards a more self-sufficient homestead.
You will probably notice the focus on the camera is all over the place, still learning the new camera. The lens doesn't have manual focus so I need to sort out the jumpy focus.

The family is from: Närpes area. Western Finland. Kristinestad, Merikarvia, among other places

How interesting! I'm closer to eastern Finland I'm afraid. Those areas have quite a big swedish speaking population, do you happen to know if your relatives are swedish speaking finns like myself? 😁

It is many years since I have seen whitewashing done to a barn/coop. I just now read up on it (to refresh my memory) and it certainly is a very good practice! I have lived decades away from farms (since my childhood) so I didn't know whether white washing is still being done.

As far as I know it's still common practise for chicken coops. Not sure about barns these days. The old barn-part of my stable has also been white washed once upon a time. 😁

Thank you! Yeah spotting and managing to get a clip of the owl was such a lucky shot! 😍 Hands are sadly not better and many other joints hurts. Will try to get a new doctors appointment asap.

A lot! 😄 Currently the sun rises around 4 in the morning and sets just after 10 in the evening. But the days will keep getting longer for another month almost.

hang mats in your storage ,, i am not sure how you restore the road ants problematic ,, i would use hang mats made in fish nets,,, ?
