I love watching how you keep improving your homestead! Beautiful woodwork by Jonas, your prints are amazing, the goats, rabbits, vegetables, lovely tomatoes, your cat. I hope one day I can do my own homestead. You are an inspiration! Try putting some seaweed/kelp in your sauerkraut, it is very nurishing for humans too, not only for the soil. Keep on the good work!

You Wonderful Creator Beings! I've been there since the first episode and I'm so happy for you. Now I have a heartfelt request: Give the bunnies a little more freedom of movement 🙏🏼 they would certainly like to be able to do one or the other sprint and hop in the air. Nearby, goats, chickens and rabbits live together in a large orchard meadow and it is a pleasure to see how the rabbits love to run. The owners told me that the goats keep birds of prey away from chickens and rabbits. With Love from the bottom of my heart, vanessa

Hi Vanessa! Thanks so much for your comment! Yes about the bunnies, we're currently working on a new ren for them below a few fruit trees :) Some of them will be in rabbit tractors during the growing season , and then part of the year in a bigger enclosure. That's a lovely system there it seems in that orchard setting. I wonder if they also would keep males rabbits together there? Ours would just fight if we don't separate them sadly :)

We had a couple of nightly frosts in Tallinn, but now at the end of October, its over +10 days and nearly +10 nights. Even the grapes growing outside managed to ripen.

Hmm grapes sounds delicious! yes many places in Europe the weather has been pretty warm for the time of year! I'm still enjoying my frost sensitive flowers outside :p

About first frost, it was strange this year in Lithuania. It was way too early (09.03) and interesting thing about it, nothing died because of that. I mean not even tomato's outside :)

@@The.Land.of.Slow.Living Oh wat leuk on een berichtje terug te krijgen! Ik voel me 'slightly star struck'. Fingers crossed!

Do you guys have any favourite books/resources about natural building and homesteading?
@The.Land.of.Slow.Living2 жыл бұрын
Here are some resources we've used in the past year: in regards to gardening: The booklet ' the art of composting' from Koanga,- 'The Mittleider gardening course'- from Jacob Mittleider and the youtubechannel 'Gardening like a viking', which are three completely different approaches to gardening, but diversity gives resilience. Building: we like the books of Ben Law, his roundwood timberframing books. Hope that helps ;)
