Hello Kate!!! Welcome home from Amelia in Tas. So happy to know both you and your Mum's scissors are back home safe and sound. What a quick trip...glad you were able to collect a few treasures. Jet lag is not fun, leaves me feeling awfully muddled. Loving the neutrals. Just wondering if it would look interesting to fold some patches in a jaunty angle, over the edge and attach them onto the inside and outside. Hope I've explained that properly x

Hi Kate, Love your large sewing basket with all its joyful colours. Looking forward to seeing your nests (vessels) too. I'm working on my Roxy Creations journal that I started in their workshop at the Green Door Studio earlier this year. I haven't used wool much at all in my sewing before now, but after seeing your inspiring use of colour, I'm finding bits of neon pink and other bright coloured wool are now popping up in my slow stitching ... love it 💗x

It’s a kind of sewing kit or stitching kit. It depends on your taste, but it usually has a pocket to put the piece you’re currently stitching, a pin cushion, a needle cushion, a scissors case and a pocket or a little pouch to put your threads. Of course, that each one does it to their own personal preference. For example, I have one that I take when I go out and it has a pocket for the piece I’m working on, a scissors case, a pocket for my threads, a pin cushion and a needle cushion. And I have another one that I use at home that is much bigger and it even has a pocket for a pencil and crochet hooks. It all depends on what you like. It can be as small or as big as you want.
