Yes when you leave the city you will miss it I love what you did to your apartment. When I was growing up in New York City it was so fun. When my children were toddlers first thing after breakfast was a walk then to the park. They played hard then it was home for lunch and right after lunch I gave them a bath after that they would nap I loved growing up in NYC too.

LOVE your style and so grateful to hear tips that don’t compromise it. I have one baby who is almost crawling. Thick rug mats and a softer coffee table/ottoman are on the list to get. Love the idea of slipcovered furniture as much as possible, too.

I realized I was nodding along with you during this one. 😂 My son's just a little younger than yours I think and my textile choices have definitely shifted! Im so glad I didn't have our main sofa reupholstered before he was born. 😅 Having a newborn in an apartment is much easier than a toddler!

Switching out the coffee table to a soft option is a really important change. When I was a small child a million years ago, my parents had a kidney shaped glass top coffee table. It was a mid century modern style with the glass resting upon 3 pointed vertical arms. Well, I fell off the edge of the couch in front of it twice splitting my lip and causing a bloody mess. Needless to say it was not a stable, safe surface for me to play on and they had to get rid of it. I sure do wish I had it now because it would sell in a hot minute. On another note I always love the flowers you have in the apt. and I plan to check out the site you mentioned. I have a black thumb when it comes to plants. Enjoy what's left of the summer.

I never thought I would see so perfectly my style in someone elses room from colors to textures….she nailed it. Would like to see can do you with more lighter theme like if you removed the blue and greens…what color would you replace it with. I was going to a more neutral tones everywhere in the house but not doing that anymore.

This video was fantastic! Basically, you can still have style when raising a child/children you just have to be smart in how you go about childproofing your home. It takes a little thought but it's very much worth it. Peace of mind and your style still intake.
