yeah I'm suppose to be getting 60 upload but only getting 7 on ps5. can't even stream my games from ps plus

yeah it's a ps5 issue no matter if you use ethernet or the ps5 wifi uploads speeds will not match what you pay for ... all my other devices phone laptops etc get great up and down load ...but ps5 download signal is great ...but upload is bad ..and it's not your equipment it's ps5 ...hopefully the ps5 pro fixes this ...cause it's makes gaming on portal useless almost n or just not worth it

Same issue on AT&T Fiber - 900 mbps up and down on a wired lan. Connect the PS5 to the lan and it is 785mbps down and 35mbps up. I think it's causing connection issues on my Portal remote player. SONY, please help.

Mine is the same. My entire house internet and every speed test is what I pay for. 70 upload. But my ps5 hard-lined never goes over 5.

Try to change the mtu setting to automatic, mine is solved that way

Put your game in safe mode and update software from there it worked for me but I’m not sure if it’s just temporary or not

Same too just upgraded my package with virgin media 1gb and I get a mixed reading but mostly it around 10 12 to 27 to odd numbers anyone got a fix as I have updated my router new router and sony told me to open the ports which I have done but still no good

This was posted 3months ago and it seems like it’s still an issue. I feel like Sony is doing it on purpose for some stupid reason. Did they not think the ps portal was going to sell this much? And decided to put a cap on upload speeds? It’s very annoying

Its a Playstation server issue . You can recieve large packets from Sony at any volume which you get the max from your connection . Now uploading your Packets to a Sony server like you are doing will be throttled since every Tom , Dick , & Harry will be pinging their servers . For Sony to accommodate every player they will throttle everyone down in receiving packets . But as for gaming you only need as little as any where from 2 - 5 mbs of information to ping your input information . Say you are playing Street Fighter 6 for you to send your input like Down - Down Forward - Forward - then Punch is like around less that 1/16th of a kb of information . Your connection upload speed is still there . Its just the Sony servers throttle everyone to accommodate massive amount of connections . If we were all to upload at unlimited speeds we all would crash their servers . And then no one will beat able to beat your ass on Street Fighter 6 daily

Less traffic on PS4 servers , more players on PS5 so more traffic more bottle neck . Look at major city's with cars as an example. Go out in the Desert on a back road you might see 1 car use that as an example for PS4 . Now go on Main street in New York city there are so many cars that's your example for PS5 .

I understand, but what we pay for the PS Plus subscription could improve the services, increase the number of servers, I don't know on Xbox we don't have this problem

@ewertonlm1 Microsoft is a larger company which has the best networkers and server gurus in the corporate world since most networks run off their os . Also they most likely have more power house server systems

Yes sony has to fix this especially for streamers and portal users ....I drop connection after 5 min every time 800 download and 3-6 upload ... in my area I pay for 200 up and get all of it on phone and tablets and pc...but ps5 upload makes my ps portal a paper weight ....I'm in pa if that matters but I see everyone got this issue

I just got my portal today and I have the same ps5 upload issues. I was going crazy..restarted my routers etc. speed tested on my phones and pc. It was normal but my ps5 uploads are trash. It’s making me regret getting a portal

I have the same issue. I have a 1Gig connection up and down. Now i only recieve about 100mbps down and 10mbps up Wifi even worse 59 and 8 😢 As you I ran same test. The conclusion Sony servers downgrade speeds on some PS5 consoles 🤬

I have fiber in France, more 500Mb/s download and upload with my Xbox Sx , Ipad… and only with the PS5 and the sony tests connection, I get 5 to 20Mb/s :( for the upload.
