Link Wray brought me here. Check out his 1958 instrumental "Rumble" as a starting place. Musicians are still riding on his coattails. Get him inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame. I would never have even heard of "Slowdive" if it were not for following a Link Wray music list. Oh and I play a little "shoegaze" music myself at age 68. -Peter
