today i woke up at 4:32 am. my dad died exactly 9 months ago. i found him laying on his side. i remember when i first found out this cover i was still trying to learn guitar. i never really played for him, he just used to listen to my attempts of mimicking this song through the door. his taste in music wasn't anything like mine but he used to like the sonority of some songs. this one included. it's so cliché to say that "i miss him" but i dont know how to put it another way. i come here often to feel some comfort in my stomach, in my head. and today i come here because i miss him.

You can find some "professional" cover of this and other Slowdive songs, but I actually prefer when the cover is more spontaneous and emotional, yours is my favorite

I found this cover 4 years ago and loved it then. Since then, a few other covers have appeared. There's even a "professionally done" version by a guy who does spot-on covers. Yours is still by far the best. It has the "feel," the right mood. It's recorded clearly, but still, all the parts crunch together the way they should. Still love this version.
