The best way to fix a db meter that was dropped on the floor is to throw it up against the ceiling. That should balance it again as long as you catch it on the way down. Trust me, I'm an engineer

Same here. Ola is a fan of oldschool Death Metal but everything he writes is more in Pantera Groove metal side of things. I guess that is simply where his creative juices flow but I would also like to hear him write a really nasty sounding Swedish Death metal song, just to hear how it would sound like.

Great things about this video; The Orange sounds great on its own. Liking the sounds of the different microphones. Ola mentions how the Eyemaster is satisfying, then proceeds to play an awesome as riff 🤘 That HM-2 squeal is legendary, and the tone is a personal favourite. Works for me. I've had an HM2 since the 90's and I LOVE the Eyemaster. I also love these videos. I don't actually use mine like most. I use mine, cranked up as always but I play what's now considered classic, blues based heavy rock. Ibanez RG7421 into the Eyemaster into a Twin. Sounds like a Marshall that's on fire... It's wonderful.

As a person that grew up with Entombed, Arch Enemy and Bloodbath, I 100% agree with you @ 5:24 . It is a shitty mess yes, but it's AMAZING, gives you some powerful and dark feeling that no other type of distortion brings on the table
