I have been using the Lunker City slug go for over 30 years with out a doubt the BEST jerk bait ever.

I was using sluggo's in bubble gum ( pink ) back in the 80s slamming bass & pike , yea these work! Don't be afraid to toss them on a bucktail for saltwater also bluefish tear that up as well as flounder

I like just a floating curly tail worm no wait on it just put a hook in it and rig it kind of Texas style throw it over some grass and work it on top works great I use the sluggles too but just to kind of a long curly tail worm no wait can't use the weight and fish it right on top real slow

Great video!! I never fish slug go before, how do ya think slug go vs zoom fluke?
@BASSIN101tipsandtechniques Жыл бұрын
Great question! 👍 the Zoom fluke has a very erratic action and can be fished faster than a sluggo and has a smaller profile as well. The sluggo can't be fished as fast. It wasn't designed that way. It has more of a gliding action. Having both tied on would be a good way to see which they prefer at that time. Fish on! 👍

Thanks much!! Does the softness of the boiled sluggo retain when it cool off? Or does it go back to the original state?
@BASSIN101tipsandtechniques Жыл бұрын
@@iamalemontree I'm sorry I just saw this comment. Didn't know you sent it. The sluggo goes back to its "hardness" however it stays softer than originally in the bag and has better action.

If you said what inch sluggo you prefer w the 4/0 hook, I missed it.

@@BASSIN101tipsandtechniques just subbed your channel. What size hook would you say for the 4.5 SluGo? And do you like the traditional text? Poser hook or the wide gap? Any other bunker baits worth trying. I have a gift certificate. I used to fish the original sluggo years ago but want to get back into fishing them again. Always did well with them.
@BASSIN101tipsandtechniques Жыл бұрын
@@vincentlivoti4184 sure thing..the 4.5 I use a 2/0 and I prefer the new texposer that lunker city has. An ewg is not bad and the original offset is my least favorite because of poor hookup ratio. As far as bunker baits go some are still made today. One I used a lot in the 80s was the mann's augertail. Hope this helps 😁

@@BASSIN101tipsandtechniques sorry my question was what other baits made by Lunker City do you like?

@@vincentlivoti4184 just the sluggo. Fin s fish is also a good one nose hooked.

All I throw is slug-o too. I'm in total agreement there isn't a close second.
