My mom was 93 when she died and had zero wrinkles around her eyes. She was a pin up model in the 1940s. She learned to put Vaseline on at night from the makeup artists. When I was 13 I started using it because it wiped up leftover mascara that didn't come off the night before. I'm 55 now. I have no wrinkles except 2 tiny 11s that are getting botoxed soon. I started slugging I guess then over 40nyears ago. Highly recommend, considering I'm complimented more on my skin than anything else. I started using eye cream at 22, because a saleslady said I'd thank her later in 87. I highly recommend this cheap, drugstore Vaseline because it works. My mom even used it in her last months along with Wet and Wild lipstick, because as she said "You never know who's coming around!" 😊

What a great idea! In my life, I never would have even thought of using beef tallow. I have a few reasons for not wanting to use petroleum jelly, but God bless those who do. I just looked into it, and this is only the very minimum/beginning of what I found: "Vitamins in tallow can help produce collagen. Vitamin E is known for its anti-aging properties. It helps stimulate blood flow to our skin, which increases collagen production, and helps prevent signs of aging. By increasing collagen production, you can keep your skin looking smooth and firm for longer". The multitude of vitamins in it, are what I've been looking for in a natural product. And it doesn't clog pores!☺️ I'm going to look into it more deeply, as well as the Egyptian Magic Balm, (I've never heard of it), as I have several troubling skin issues. Anyways, a BIG THANK YOU!☺️🌻 God bless💛

Brill. One thing- dermatologists say to be REALLY careful with your ingredients when slugging. Basically, do it when using your humectants etc. NOT active ingredients like retinol because it can cause massive irritation. That is not supposed to be sealed in!! Just sharing in case people have sensitivity and experience a reaction if they try slugging with active ingredients especially retinol! Not a criticism, grateful for the video - just a heads up (watch The Doctors talking about it…). Thank you and all best wishes and glowiness inside and out to all 😊❤

Upon awakening in the morning, I typically apply Vaseline to my face, allowing it to remain on my skin for approximately 30 minutes. Afterwards, I proceed to shower and use warm water to rinse it off. As a result, my skin becomes noticeably softer and more refined. When I subsequently apply foundation, it effortlessly glides on, enabling my makeup to maintain its beauty throughout the entire day.

There are actually two dermatologists here on YT that mention using Vaseline in slugging routines. If you are sensitive to retinol, then no…you wouldn’t want to seal it in with Vaseline. I use 1% tretinoin (very potent) and slug with Vaseline…not a single issue. I’m 42, and my skin just keeps getting better. Every person I’d unique and needs to find what works for them.

I microneedle my face and neck once a month. This promotes collagen production. But only lightly in the areas that i see wrinkles in my mother( genetically) .And where you see it in most people due to frowning, general skin sagging. I also use a gel cream, coconut oil and retinol. I already have great skin due to being mixed. I never smoked,i dont drink or do drugs. I also do not eat meat or dairy. As well as being an esthetician i learned alot.

Lol my mom's favorite story about me was when I was around 18 months old & she had just gotten me all dressed up in a cute outfit before going to a family party. Well she got up to get something & I immediately got into the jar of Vaseline. She was gone less than 2 minutes but in that time I managed to not only coat myself in a thick layer but the walls & leather couch received the same treatment 😂 I'm currently 48 & my skin is actually pretty good considering I've been consistent with my anti-aging skincare routine & applying sunscreen every day for the past 10 years but due to perimenopause my skin, especially my under eye area, is quite dry so I started slugging a few weeks ago & I am OBSESSED! No more dry, crepey under eyes

I use petroleum jelly under my eyes/nose area to buffer the skin from sleep wrinkling. I imagine it working by finding its way into the fine/developing sleep lines, and if you turn in the night, the jelly stops the creasing. the visual is like bending a page in a book, the line is there. but if you put a piece of fleece (jelly) under the page and bend it, it wont leave a mark.

My blepharoplasty surgeon made me promise to keep ALL creams well away from directly under my eyes where he'd removed eye bags; that is not an area where you want any "plumping up" and consequent deflation leaving saggy skin. I have the driest, most annoying skin ever, and I've been taking better care of it over the last 10 years or so (I'm 40), and took good care of it off and on thru out my teens and 20's. I never smoked, didn't drink, I burn easily so kept the sun exposure to a minimum. Most people think I'm between 25 and 30, so I already have pretty youthful looking skin. My eye and undereye areas tho are looking ROUGH. If I start slugging now, is it going to help or is it more of a preventive thing that I needed to be doing all along?

I put a thick vaseline on top of it and make sure never toucj anything to remove the vaseline, but put again vaseline on my cracked finger whenever I get awake in the middle of the night. Congrats on your baby!! I'm also just over 6 weeks pp. Your skin is probably dry due to the drop in estrogen. I live in a very dry climate and make a homemade concoction of canola oil, extra virgin coconut oil, shea butter, and beeswax (melted together then stored in a little container). I massage it in all over after a shower, and in the shower I use a pumice stone to exfoliate all over. The combo of exfoliation and oils has been great.
