Sluice off competition! Gold Mining in the NZ Bush!

We are over on New Zealand's West Coast with a bunch of mates to get down to do some Sluicing! And we decided to do something epic, a Sluice off, a competition between us to see who could recover the most gold Sluicing for the afternoon! Some good gold is found and a blast is had by all!

Hi, I like your videos, I'm going to Zealand and I'd like to try gold panning. You always have such great success, is this video from some free "gold flossing spot" or is it some private place or is it possible to get a permit for such better places? 🤔🤯

Awesome stuff! We don’t always have such great success our videos are just a collection of highlights, behind each find is hour upon hour of no gold or tireless work to get to the gold. A big chunk of our videos are in public fossicking areas and there is just as much potential for gold in the fossicking areas as anywhere else, just a bit more of it has been taken. Yes it is possible to get a permit however it’s very pricy and difficult, my best advice would be come over not expecting to find much and just have some fun in the fossicking areas and if you find good gold it’s a bonus.
