Happy new year! Ed we had a great day out The classifier is sweet rock washing and removal all in one also slows the feed onto the mat. we have no problem catching the real fine stuff with the dream mat and it is dealing with a lot of black sand at the same time we love it. We call it the "old girl" as Steve made it 28 years ago. The mat and classifier have been added to it in resent years. It can be set up as a highbanker with wash box and gas water pump but in our state the pump is banned now. 👍🍀⛏🇦🇺

Hey guys good gold & video a quick tip to get rid of that black sand put your gold in a gar put it under a tap and let the water get rid of it but sit it in a bowl just in case anything floats out cheers & good luck

Very nice gold haul guys , well done , when i saw you Alicia scraping that gravel of the classifier i thought , i've got just the thing for you , a few years ago i found a scraper which someone had left when they were highbanking , and i still have it ,. Now a good husband would make you one , lol , Steve , i said a good husband would make her one , lol . It's just looks like a little rake , but instead of teeth ( tines ) it has a flat blade perfect for raking off that gravel . That's a no on the highbanker in 2016 they were banned in our state. well you can still use a banker but you can not run a pump to it. For years we ran a highbanker in this spot and yes the cleanups were good. Cheers for stopping by Kurt happy new year mate.

Happy New Year guys. Would it pay to pre-classify your buckets before you go walking up and down the stream or are you trying to get a fix on the amount of gold per cubic metre of earth? Mark from Melbourne.

Thankyou Mark, we hate classifying so we just bucket it down to run through the forward classifier. If there are any really big stones we just give them a quick wash and chuck out. Recent floods in the area have changed it a bit so we were seeing if the amount of gold had changed since recent trips, worked out its about the same per bucket.
