Great idea & I do something similar, but use the large plastic body for a wheelbarrow. It holds 11 shovels of wash which saves a lot of waking back & forth. Been doing that since 2000.

Necessity is the mother of invention they say , so that barge was a great way to go guys , worked real well and saved the old backbone too . The stiff broom is a good idea , you don't even have to bend over Steve. If you guys get any more mechanized you'll be able to stay home and the Gold will just come to you , ha ha ha . Cheers Ned It worked well. We only started at about 8.30 and by 1pm we had done 54 bucket's with a few smoko breaks in between lol. With the 6 bucket's on rotation it was a fast process. The broom does help save the back witch is important to us as it's Steve's back that usually dictates how long or how much we do. No worries about the shout out mate. I usually run a magnet over the black sands first while under water in the pan and do them separately to speed up the blue bowl clean up.

Fantastic result!!! and good ol' Aussie ingenuity on the barge 👍 Best video I've seen that shows just how effective the blue bowl is on black sand. Others show only a few seconds but yours was fascinating watching the black sand being swept away over time. Well done. Cheers, Ken

Hay Alicia, Nice idea, I once used a small blow up boat as a barge with all my gear in it towed behind a kayak to get to an inaccessible spot on the Mongarlowe river.

@@GrotyGold There's not a lot of access to the Mongarlowe unless you know someone. At that time I had access through a mates neighbours property. There is gold to be had everywhere you dig but all very fine in my experience.

I learned Kayak Prospecting this past summer. It works with all back pack size type tools. 21" sluice. So far ,only found silver. Then ....COVID and wildfires punched my plans in the face. Hopefully this years better here in Oregon.
