Still is before his time. He was so smart to form a diverse band of white guys, Black women, code friends and siblings. No one has a band like this and I believe no one will. All of his songs have messages.

🔥🔥 when you’re recognized and respected for your music, you don’t do drugs but when you feel underrated, you hide behind the drugs of pain, flowers awesome and Steele is love you sly, and the family stone❤

Wrong. Sly was a hippie. Drugs were a part of the deal. He just couldn't beat it like slthe hippies who went on to become Doctors, Lawyers, and politicians. He was getting pharmaceutical quality coke. Really good stuff. Then, Richard Pryor got him started freebasing and it was over from there. Saddest shit you ever heard.

Larry Graham was the original bass player member of the Family stone. Then he left to form Graham Central Station.

Will never happen. They both tried to have the other one killed. Sadly, Freddy can't either because he played with Larry. It's fkd up. But Sly still sounds good. Voice strong
