Did Bilbao to Marseille, then Cádiz and back to ferryport Bilbao. All on the Tesla network except for a couple of long gaps in Spain. I have i3 with the Rex, which is a real comfort and was necessary a couple of times. Otherwise, it's was a fantastic experience and will do it again. 😊

That’s impressive and something I plan to do next year. Reassuring the even small battery EV’s can still do normal journeys without hassle in this day and age. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

You are not alone, I had my first EV for nearly a year before someone told me it was “Guess O Meter” lol

Interesting video, I felt your pain looking for the first Tesla chargers. I was however puzzled by your description "Buckle up as we set out in our Tesla electric car". It looked like an i3 to me. lol.

Description is definitely AI generated, it has the usual ChatGPT writing style

I cant lie you are correct, but my bad for not checking over it again. I struggle with the description for videos and Vidiq is brilliant at helping me with this. Thanks Rich

You are totally correct, I did add the word "Non" before its but failed to actually save it! I use AI to help with my video descriptions as I struggle to put something together. Thank you for taking the time to comment. Rich

@@EVPARAMEDIC nothing to be worried about, exactly what I'd do too if I made a video :) nice video btw, it's a car I've driven a couple of times as a rental and it was definitely one of the most fun things I've driven, so nice to see how it's driven by someone who has had a lot more experience with it

I blame it on my age, to old to do technical stuff! I do love my i3 and like driving it long distances

How did you get apple car play full screen ? Is this a bmw software update ? I’m only getting 1/2 screen
@EVPARAMEDIC

It depends on what was initially paid for with BMW, mine was half screen and I paid BMW a huge premium to update the software to full screen. I think it was £190 plus VAT but may be a little more…. Thanks for your comment

I watched it from start to finish but it fell short in a few areas. We too run an i3 but am I guessing yours is an 13S with the bigger capacity battery (like ours). You mention Tesla charging but you don't explain if the car needs an adaptor, nor if you need an account, nor any mention of an app. The video was a good opportunity to show us that longer journeys can be made in the i3 but I didn't see any mention in your roundup as to how many miles you covered or the average kwh charge rates at different stations. TBH, watching you drive all that way for 42 minutes was fairly dull so it's the stats and charging info which should have been the focus - just saying

Thank you so much for the feedback, it is feedback that allows me to alter how I film, what I film and what I need to include. I made the assumption that because I show myself using the app that this is needed, however what I could have highlighted is that this is not the case for V4 chargers that have payment terminals on them. I shall be doing another video which covers everything you have highlighted everything you mention in your comment, again thank you.

Aren’t the V4 cables long enough not to block other cars?

they are yes

The V4 cables are long enough if there is no rubber stop to protect the charger. My car even when its driven right back on the stop has issues reaching. I try my best to either use the end chargers so that I am not taking the space for another car or pull over as far as I can as to not block the other bay. I can understand the frustration of Tesla Owners who in most cases are understanding now that several of the Tesla Superchargers are open to non Tesla.
