To sanitize something like those lip gloss wands you can easily spray them with 91% rubbing alcohol and let them air dry. As an esthetician, with over twenty years experience, I can tell you that this works. After 10 minutes they will be sterile and the alcohol completely evaporates. Doing this one time will not dry out or ruin the tips at all. Hope this helps! 🤗💕

Yes I noticed that too about the lip gloss. People are not being sanitary at all. I’ve made lip gloss and I start off soaking in a light bleach solution or I soak in a vinegar and water solution. They’re both extremely effective for cleaning the tip of the wand. I then put them in a gallon of water with the blue tablet solution and then rinse them in water multiple times. Before selling I made lipgloss for myself to ensure I didn’t ruin the tips or leave any residue from the cleaning products and it worked. I haven’t had any complains from customers and they love the lipgloss so much. I clean and sterilize them the same way I do everything else.

you're such a queen honestly. I decided to buy a shampoo bar from lush many months ago. after buying it I realized that it has SLS, which sucked n my hair, so I searched up diy shampoo bar and watched your videos. I got educated and did months of research to find all the ingredients (since most places don't ship to my country). I bought almost every ingredient for the shampoo bars, ordered packaging supplies, customized stickers and all that. It's been my dream to start a small business ever since I can remember and here I am now binge watching your videos and waiting for my supplies to arrive so I can start my very own etsy shop I'm soooo happy thank you!! I'll reply to this when I finally launch (which will most probably take a while) but wish me luck I hope it works out +++ I know I'm starting small and only selling one kind of product, but I'm putting in so much work and money into them, but do you think I should make more stuff now (pay more) or wait to see if this whole thing works then use the profits to add more products to my shop? I soak my tubes and applicators in hot water and steramine! Then air dry and store them in freezer bags. I hope this helps!

Here's how I look at those scenarios ....be it keeping your house or car clean why would people not want to have pride in their environments especially if they have children and/or oets?' Blows my mind....when I was growing up back in Michigan we had a housekeeper ok ...had the same one since the 60s over 10 years till 77 then hired a few more til 82 from then on we just cleaned it ourselves ...but when we did have a cleaning lady....she was hired to clean ..wasn't hired to be our maid! Meaning clutter clothes books etc all had to be picked up put where it belonged so all she had to do was come in dust vaccum and mop!( Hand mop) on top of that us kids still had chores indoor/outdoor so we still had to clean house pick up after ourselves help with yard laundr,cooking etc but at the end of each day.....our house was clean to the point of we would be able to eat off the floor! We has 15-18 dogs two cats 5 person household! If we could do it so can households with less to deal with! Plus we had a garden so there was harvesting,cleaning the harvest either canning or freeze packing! So I totally get what your saying! Side note: for me can't speak for everyone...but even with our pets they were bathed weekly...I do the same today! I see it as a preventative measure as keeping good hygiene and good health! I'm with you! For you Tara I can tell you had a strong stable upbringing growing up! Shows through on your videos! You're doing an excellent job! Hats off to you!

I have a idea, I would love if you give it a try, So the idea is use Dimethicone Crosspolymer or Lotion Crafter EL40 (which you used to make makeup primer and Vitamin C serum), and make lip gloss it is a alternarive to Versagel (made up of Hydrogenated Polysibutene), and add some oil in Lotion Crafter's EL40.... I wish you would try it BTW love your channel,

Yeah I haven’t figured that out yet. Lol I think if you are selling them it’s better to make sure you are buying them sanitized. So I would ask the supplier if they are sanitized or not and if not ask them how to sanitize them.

@@TaraLeee this is something I just thought of relating to sanitizing lip gloss tubes... still wash/rinse them like you would any other packaging .....try to do this days in advance if possible ... sanitize them...set them bottom side up lean them up on a cookie sheet so they are somewhat tilted let them sit for a few days come back and take a hair dryer put on low setting and blow the inside out to get any moisture out might sound a bit tedious but it's just a temporary solution ...collective thoughts on the way!
