Best AGV show EVER !! ... there is 2.1 million small business's here in Australia, when ever i hear that, i always think of the old adage, if every small business employed just one person each, unemployment would be fixed over night ... point being Gary, this type of format you have given us here is total killer ... having real small business like these 3 in asking questions like this, and then you guys giving advice is just brilliant ... hope you can do more of these .. real small business's, real questions, real answers

Gary- Your insight on “small branded” jingle is SPOT ON! Especially, especially in the NJ, NY, Long Island area (grew up there-Watchung, NJ). I’ve been listening to sound-bytes everywhere for years-since childhood ... (ultra-attentive to sound) it’s cultural, personal, even cross-generational, and most of all when captured and delivered in the context that people in a smaller area (like this pizza business) live and hear (yes they all hear, sounds that are so hyper-specific on that micro scale) “whatever that sound-byte is”it takes that “developed-sound” to the emotional level... Brand, Sales, Build...BOOM!! Awesome, your taking your show and building on your audience in a new style... Love it! Long winded, but sometimes, you say things that are SO SOLID.... Love your intuitive-raw delivery! Thank you. - Chaz

A lot of the #VaynerNation is telling us that they really enjoyed this format and the content/questions in the video itself. We'll definitely look into trying to replicate this a little more in the future, but this may be more of a "one-off" episode of the #AskGaryVee show because it'll be a little hard to invite our guests to be at our office in person. Regardless, we'll see what we can do to reproduce the same type of value from this episode in the future 😉 - Team GaryVee

I love this new format. That Jingle for your biz recommendation... Million dollar idea for that Pizza Restaurant. Sound can be used as an anchor to pleasure or pain. And there's lots of pleasure anchored to eating delicious Pizza. Pavlov's dog for example. Ring the bell and the dog knows it's time for a treat. Now you have to get creative and anchor people to your brand via sound. Excellent advice from Gary per usual.

I reckon a lot of people fear the thought of repayments in the early days of a small business and that stops them from going after a loan. Instead, like you guys say they might look to angel investors, who in the long term could take a % of their company but in the short term offer the time and freedom needed to create/grow the business (without the stress of constant repayments). If a bank would give a loan without needing any repayments until the business made over an agreed $ threshold, that might be extremely attractive and you could win some of those who would usually go elsewhere. No idea what the vetting process would look like, but obviously the bank would have to expect the threshold to be hit haha.

Angel inverstors is a great idea!!

I think it's hilarious that someone would look at him and underestimate his talent, creativity and wisdom because of his age. And guess what? Dad totally understands SEO and his photography sites rank well above most young photographers in our city and his work, ha hahaha so much better. But he's mine, mine mine, along with my gorgeous daughter, we're a team and we don't just get likes and comments on our photos, we secure the bag. As a business owner with ~20 staff having a more in depth discussion (than regular askgaryv) with small growing businesses was super fun and inspiring. I'm sure there are TONS of SMB's that would go MILES out of their way to go on the askgaryv show! I’m struck, in trying to build a business , but keep going at it with a competitive pathway. Meaning, what if I just want to compete . How could I show my strengths / talents . Through RAW unedited Clips . How do Competitive Athletes hustle themselves ? I Refuse to get a job, & I’m barely flipping on EBay, started few weeks ago. I also feel that I’m actually doing a movement but that my expectations are too high and if I change my course I’d have lost any momentum that I potential created for myself .

Credit lines are absolutely THE MOST IMPORTANT thing for a small business but I think that there needs to be a bridge to the credit. Currently, we go online and fill out and application for a business card and get denied and wait 7 days for the reason. How about a 1-on-1 with a credit specialist BEFORE our people apply. Nice representation from Chase. I will look at them for my next capital source. I love listening to these talks it gives me fresh air EVERY TIME!

Gary being a small business myself as well as a Chase business customer, this episode was by far the best one for our audience. I would like the contact information of the gentleman in the HVAC trade as naturally we would be able to help eachother out. Regarding the question of the day: Why can't Chase offer the lending service like a Kabbage does where a funding decision is made based on the performance of the business and not the personal credit of the business owner? It is very disappointing that we have to go to online lenders because they are able to provide the necessary funding that a conventional bank just can't be flexible with. Especially when you have been a Chase business and personal customer for years.

So we used the card to manufacture more inventory that we needed and charged over the $5K. Those 80K points we converted to cash at a volume of approx. $1K. That we put back into the company. Thanks for the great deal. We would love to partner with Chase on any future pilot or prototype projects that would help us scale globally. Thanks Gary for all you do for us little guys! ♥♥♥

Fantabulous! It was like a mix of askgaryvee and the podcasts with 3+ others. I liked the two segments back to back to. Like the guest from Chase said, there was a theme of wanting to grow, but the nuances of both were so different. I liked to see Gary reminisce about Wine Library too. Anyway, my answer for the question of the day is to give out low interest loans and lines of credit. Maybe like a micro “good credit score” just based solely on their payments to you, the interest can go even lower. I think that would take off like a rocket🚀.

People who are running successful businesses in todays world are probably on the front line of organization/communication technology use, so banks need to continue to reduce friction. Like, why do I still have to fill out paper bank deposit slips to deposit a cheque? Small things that save alot of time for people who understand how important it is. If you look at apps like KOHO and Wealthsimple, this is the format of saving/investing that will win. No one wants to meet with an account manager and "discuss" things anymore. Good to see Chase so open minded.

ANSWER: I have been turned down by two banks in the last 3 months. I have been using online merchant funding which is brutal, as you have to pay back 10%-20% of your credit card take each day to the lender. The lenders were fast (got money in 24 hours), fair, but so expensive. It was crippling. I have a credit score 800 and our three small cafes do about $2.5 Mil per year. Been with same bank for 15 years. "Decisions were both made 'above branch level' and the underwriter denied loan at corp level. Banks don't lend to small businesses anymore, and maybe that just makes sense to them. But my CPA and quite honestly my bank manager were surprised as well. American Express came through for me in the end. AMEX sees the opening. I got two loans at very good rates and they were super helpful. AMEX is my new bank.

Small business owner here. The best thing a big bank did for me was, get me an account opened the same day, all online! No credit union, or regional bank would do this. Only one of the really big guys would offer this service to us. We needed a 2nd account ASAP, and we couldn't get it done that Friday until I called one of the big guys. Advice to Chase small business department, be as fast as your customers need you to be. If I need money transferred right this 2nd to my international account? Do not take 3 days to do it. If I need an account asap, give me one! All online, I cant stop to BS with a banker for 3 hours just to be given an ass load of paperwork to do. The way we survive being small, is that we are fast. We will always need everything done yesterday. So cut out all the red tape, make your services FAST AND EASY to buy, and be ready.

Awesome ! Literally that's really what I was expecting from a long time ago - I'd love to develop a B2B business here in Haiti and I would love to know more about the development alternative to start it.

#firstinline I'm LOVING this idea for AGV. Really excited to see how you address different types of SPECIFIC small biz issues going forward - it's (probably?) just a taste of what's covered in a 4D day, and that's RIDICULOUSLY valuable, especially for a sole-proprietor designer like me where a 4D day would be 20% of annual revenue...

We agree with you!! Any of his other face-to-face meetings cost an arm and a leg for small businesses. It was an amazing experience where we walked away in the positive!

Banks/ chase should advertise they fund a P.O ..manage it if they are not doing it already, Without exhorting huge fees and create a working system to boths advantage.,making them the go to rather than v.c's and retain equity...that's just 1 of the few implementations I can type without going reader fatigue... Love your insight...given me great direction
