Great useful advice. However, as creators we've had to basically shift our filmmaking/script process due to the over saturation of other creators, as well as a generation who's attention span dwindles by the second. Before, I remember having a laid back, open ended scripts that would do well and provide effective engagement. Nowadays, we essentially must plan and write a thesis to present to the KZbin board of viewers. For channels starting out sure, it can be a useful skill in learning to develop and implement, but for the average person wanting to create, the bar has been set high. You are definitely doing your part, and providing clear concise advice, and I'm sure that came with years of experience as you've shown. Just sharing my thoughts, God bless.

The KZbin algorithm isn’t my friend SEAN, because I actually do everything wrong on KZbin 😂 no regular videos, no special content, etc. But filmmaking is still my passion 😍 best cinematic greetings from 🇩🇪
@ForgottenTasmania6 ай бұрын
I agree. Same problem here. KZbin is a great free distribution platform with a huge potential audience, but filmmakers need to forget the algorithm and all conventional advice, and that’s the trick. Go find your own audience and KZbin will eventually figure you out, but it’s never going to be your friend unless you make what it wants, in which case Sean’s advice is good.

Great advice but I can’t help but feel like this kind of thinking is why KZbinrs get burnt out so quickly. You lose the passion and get bogged down by hitting an algorithm.

I guess you could at least have an outline odea of how you want the thumbnail to look. Like an action shot, text only, text with pic of you. Just like general ideas?

@@TheDistortionPrinciple oh for sure... but the challenge is to get good images of the wild snakes. I solo 98% of the tile so me in the shot is difficult. Wild critters do what they want... when they want... no matter how famous I want them to be! 🤣

Haha yeah sounds super tricky to be honest but yeah at least a topic or knowing the title of a video is a good idea like @thedistortionprinciple mentioned. I have a video coming out on story telling for KZbin videos I think might help you out as well!

While great information I find the most difficult part is executing all the recommendation in the script, video content captured and making sure it all fits together in the final video. I have only created 30 videos and I still have a tough time getting all the pieces to align. Many times when I am editing and putting the video together I have to go back into the field and recapture a clip to make the story work. I love the process and keep learning. Thanks for all the help!

My hats off to youtube video creator people. I, for one, could never do this as a way to monetize. Its seems to stressful, having to spend sooooo much time on the entire video creation from writing to publishing..... And then onto the next one. Way too much.l for me. Either way, my hats off.

If KZbin doesn't like you, they put you on a very short leash. If they like you, they promote you. If you're in between, then you're at the mercy of the algorithm! 🤣

It took me almost 3 years to monetize my channel, it takes years and years of learning and understanding the algorithm, and building a solid audience can't be achieved in such short period of time, everyone's journey is different, you just gotta keep going and making high value content for a specific audience and you'll see results soon 🙏

If you were a seccessful entrepreneur, and sold on amazon and walmart, you should know something about marketing. Why arent you doing what worked befor with your youtube? Marketing is putting something infront of someone. Whether its products or content the strategies are the same.

My #1 advice to those with less than 1,000 subs = get obsessed with content creation learning (videos, courses, free and paid if you can afford it). That’s right, cancel that Netflix/hulu sub and watch everything related to Content Creation. Yes there is bad advice out there, draw your own conclusions.
