The idea of downloading and printing a symbol guide highlights a need for people familiar with technology in this panel, not just with navigation. All modern plotters I am aware of allow selecting a symbol and getting an explanation on the plotter immediately of what that symbol is. A simple and integrated technology solution to a technology problem. A print out is more likely to block my bilge pump than be a useful resource! Similarly, in 2023 we should not be striving to publish booklets. This information should be kept up to date and freely accessible on the Internet. Not behind a paywall, and not behind a pointless survey. Nobody I know has read this booklet and most are unaware it even exists. As a web resource I'm sure people would link to sections relevant to conversation, but as it stands they cannot and so few even know it exists. This stuff is constantly changing and evolving so should not be considered a final published item.
