Glad you threw the sticks on the side. Instead of letting them go down the water way. Enjoyed your video like I always do. Take care.

One other thing to try is to drill some holes around 2/3 of the pipe behind the dam so even if the beavers plug it it will still transmit water

The color of the water is tannins from the leaves and bark of the trees as they decay. Aquarium hobbiests try to get this type of water when they do natural style "black water" habitat tanks.
@jamestboehm64502 жыл бұрын
You need a couple of good trappers in there to remove the problem. Don't worry the beavers will be back, just need some time for the trees to start again.

@georgew.henkel31822 жыл бұрын
It appears you have very smart Beavers. Anchor the pipe so the beavers can not remove it. Drill 2cm holes in the sides of the pipe so the water flows. Your beavers know how to plug the end of the pipe to stop water flow. It will take a while before the beavers learn how to overcome your inventions. Good luck.
@W94urndks9urneos2 жыл бұрын
Yeah adding small holes all over it will make it impossible to clog and it’ll just always have some flow which would keep it from flooding forever. Those pipes could last 20 years.

Why not open the big one and let it flood the smaller one. Would be cool to watch
@Kenislovas2 жыл бұрын
I couldn’t because in the big one there pipe inside.
@themanmike12 жыл бұрын
I don't know what your local laws are but hauling away the building material usually makes the beaver leave for another stream..

So the PVC pipes actually work as long as you maintain them?
@Kenislovas2 жыл бұрын
It should work without maintenance. I must make holes on the sides or put triangle in the end.
