Very nice! BTW, it was so eye-opening to see how many eggs you have washed by hand. It makes us appreciate the work that goes into delivering truly farm fresh products from small farms. Well worth the premium!

Dear Pete Your video reflects some of our chores here in Canada in a small farm. Two things called my wife Claudia and I attention they were the eggs washing and getting the fireplace going in the morning. If one day you come to Canada near Toronto please be our guest.

At 3:19 My wife and I never sit facing one another, at home or at a restaurant as it’s not natural to oppose someone you love. We always sit elbow to elbow, facing the same obstacles, together in the same direction. It does make a difference and after 20 years we heard that it’s something that European couples always do.

I’m a retired electrician and I really enjoy your videos since discovering them this past summer. Pete. I’d like to ask a question about Hillary’s egg washing count. Does it include the cracked eggs that you keep for your family? Because if you’re eating a three egg omelette every morning, atop of the number for the rest of your family’s consumption, she’s washing a lot more than your 40 plus thousand; at the time of this video. Keep the videos coming.

Could the clocks wood gears have fluctuations from winter to summer from humidity? Here in Virginia our wood doors shrink / swell so they won’t shut in summer and let air in winter! Just a thought. I so enjoy your stories.

You're right, nothing like a wood stove! I love mine. Just curious, do your children ever help with the chores? My little brother never had an interest in our farm growing up lol. My dad would make him help with chores but he did such a bad Job he just stopped making him do them. Lol

My Grandmother told me too never wash the Egs, because off disturbing the little Wachs protection. The Eg will faster dry out and you can ceep it less longer. What's your Opinion.?
@LynetteWhitePhotography3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, we don't wash eggs in Australia either. Washing removes a natural protective layer that keeps the egg fresher for longer. But we also keep salmonella infections out of our chicken population, so our chickens & eggs are healthier than the USA.

I note that you mix white and brown eggs. Is this deliberate because that is what your customers want or do they just not mind. In this country if you did that the uproar of complaint would be huge as most people are very fussy about their eggs with brown being favored but those who like white will yell if there is a brown one in their carton. We are just seeing the blue eggs in the farmers markets here but not in main stream yet.
@edmartin8752 жыл бұрын
One of their market videos addressed that. He said their competitors sold eggs as either all white or all brown. Thet have white, brown, blue, and green eggs mixed in every dozen (the only egg sellers that do that) and their buyers love the idea and their sales went way up when they started selling them that way.
@APR1037 Жыл бұрын
I don’t have strong feelings either way but I think that getting a mix is very nice.
