Some of them risk their lives really to help the firefighters even without equipment some even died because of it. I ready a comment that this has been approved. This struck a cord with me. I’m a Chief in a small volunleer station I western canada who recently finally got an upgrade on our main pumper. We cover a VERY small village but have a large municipality plus in square miles we cover and our 1969 Ford/Tribault cab over was a big issue for response time. Luckily for us, fund raising and donations worked out. Sometimes the public is happier with donations that they know is going directly to a cause than a tax hike. But for an organization like this the long term revenue is probably more sustaining anyway. Stay Safe Brothers and Sisters.
