Excellent Emma and Simon, such an improvement - the new layout and decor is timeless. Just goes to show that doing a job properly will result in less work in the long run as no need to ever rip this out again. Possibly a new lick of paint and change of tiles when subway tiles have had their day but that’s very far into the future. Well done!

I love everything except fir the tiny box shower. I understand the reasoning but I still kinda hate it 😂😂😂

It’s just a standard shower, it comes across smaller than it looks but because we’re all getting used to everything being ‘bigger’ these days it probably looks small. There was no other option for a shower up here unless the entire room was turned into a wet room but as this is on an upper level that’s not a risk we would take having had issues with first floor wet rooms before.

You really did get the tones in this one perfect. Light but warm … I love those tiles. They keep the light moving and subtly sparkling. All the layers of texture in there is very pleasing. I have a real puzzle of a bathroom to figure out that I have been musing on for years now and this gave me some ideas to consider. Fabulous ❤

What an amazing transformation! I love that sink, but I feel that water would splash about, as it's not deep. I find gunmetal and brushed stainless steel fixtures keep the room light too and are good alternatives to chrome, for those who don't like chrome (like me :)).
