I really love how you transformed the space and you made it very warm and welcoming. The star for me is the green paint and Ive used something similar myself in my home too (so perhaps Im a little prejudiced:-)) May I be a little bold and suggest using some of this paint colour on the far wall which is a focal point/axis. You could add another piece of art or "something" there for interest. Your art "finds" are so perfect as are the large plates and the copper pots, baskets - oh the list is endless - and by adding one or more of these things it could be a good idea? You did a great job today. I appreciate your channel very much and your enthusiasm and love for your home. xx

Hello Gorgo! Oh, the vintage inspired green paint color! I completely agree... Since finishing this space I've already been considering painting more of the cabinetry green ~ so you see, we're already on the same thought process! I've tried art on the back wall (which looks amazing), but the cabinet doors are so close that they constantly bumped the art. Paint is a great solution! And I think what you said about doing the best with what you have was probably one of the most inspirational things and thought-provoking things I have seen on KZbin this week. I follow a couple of women over in the UK, and just the sheer amount of things that are brought into their home feels a bit overwhelming. Rachel- I love the way your husband and you make over spaces. I am trying to make my home warm and lovely but I learn so much from you. I am so intimidated by Pintrest but will try to use it more to keep me from spending $ on impulse buys. I love how you used your laundry room to make fabulous, well planned and attractive storage and displays. Planning takes more time than I give credit to. I have a coat closet as my pantry which leaves my coats on a rack as you come into the front door. It's convenient but not nice to see from our sofa. SOOO, I am trying to use a nook in my dinning area where a fridge is meant to create a pantry. I don't like a fitted pantry but I was worried that a piece of vintage furniture wouldn't have shelves that was strong enough. I see now that I may have to keep canned goods elsewhere.

The new wood cabinet , with the touches of green are definitely giving off Tasha Vibes. But one of my favorite spots is that gorgeous footed brass tray, Tiffany lamp, with the potatoes ,onions and eggs !!!!! And of course, art work in any space is instant style. Amazing space.... love it all. One thing I thought would look nice is to spray paint that hanging mesh basket a brass color to match the footed tray. Just a thought.

I love Tasha Tudor! I have a gardening/cookbook she wrote and illustrated. It's specifically for herbs and vegetables. I've got a tiny pantry / laundry area. The washer and drier are under the stairs and the pantry is an L shape built out from the left side facing the laundry area opening. The wall on the right is where I have a small country pine hutch for extra storage and display. I have a tea station ( partly inspired by your tea station!) with the drawer under it filled with my tea collection. The display shelves are filled with a mixture of English, Irish ,Scottish and a dash of a early Anerican inspired tea ( and related) things. We do need to repaint all over the house. The area inside the L has shelves where I store all our dry and canned goods. It needs a good cleaning and maybe a little beautifying as it's not too pretty. I'll keep your ideas in mind. Oh! On the outside of the bottom of the L I have a little old wooden desk. The microwave is on that . On the wall , above the microwave , I have a set of two beautifully aged botanical prints in lovely wood frames. ~ Heather ~ p.s. I just wondered if you're going to put art work on the wall at the far end of your pantry.

Absolutely stunning makeover! Maybe next time at the bulk food store you could bring along your glass jars and tins to refill instead of using plastic bags? They’ll weigh the jar and subtract that weight so you won’t have to pay for the jar weight- just the food product! Cuts down on plastic waste. Best wishes! ☺️🤍

Hello Rachel, Your pantry is almost as big as my whole kitchen. I live in Scandinavia, in an apartment. But I have buffet in the dining room part of the apartment with glass and cutlery. And I love organisation. So I have clear containers for all my food products as you have. It is so satisfying to have order.

So glad to see you back! The makeover as always turned out great! I also use the half gallon size jars in my pantry and more in my apothecary. I do love the green color. I have lace on a cupboard with vintage dishes, it really dresses up a space. It’s nice how many things you incorporated in from your grandmother. Now you’ll have to shop for a new tea tray. Oh my goodness. It turned out beautifully 💕. I love the way the glass jars and baskets look in the cabinet. The paint colors are just perfect. I think a lot of times the pantry area/laundry room are the forgotten area. My laundry room is so narrow I could not add a cabinet. But yours turned out so lovely I really loved everything about it. You added a lot of charm to your pantry & it was adorable! What I loved about this were the sorta scallops on your cabinets, the green color, that you kept the appliance cabinet next to the w&d and what you did with it, the foods you put in the glass jars & placed in the new shelving cabinet piece you bought with the golden glass doors for only $50 (unbelievable), & the greenery that you hung. I think you totally transformed the whole wall on the left hand side with the transformations that you made which warmed up the whole area. The only thing I’d might do if it were me is to hang something on the back wall but I’m not sure what that would even be. In my head I thinking just something small but maybe just a board with nails in it to hang some more herbs on. So this was just my opinion but I felt this could be something that wouldn’t make the wall back there look empty. Otherwise great job! & love the look. A definite improvement. Darling!!

It looked fabulous and gave your eye somewhere to rest, but... the cabinet doors on each side were knocking into it and damaging the frame. That's far as I've gotten for now. I especially enjoyed this visit. I think a lot of us have messy pantry spaces. I know I do. Just loved your ideas...All of them! I would love a small cabinet like the one you found on Marketplace. The small lace you glued to the shelves is something I've been wanting to do, but didn't know what to use. I was afraid of hot glue. So many great ideas! I am going to go look at my tiny pantry with new eyes. Tip on the herbs, bind them together with rubber bands first then your twine. As the herbs dry they shrink and may fall out of the twine. Thank you for lovely inspiration!💕

Wow Rachel! Great job with that pantry. I just love your style, so much like mine. That warm glow, so inviting. Would you consider baskets on the wall behind the laundry machines? Turned on their side and mounted on the wall make great caches for stray socks and laundry sheets. Plus it fills the gap between the machines and the wall. Just a suggestion.
