Excellent video, and yet another set of plans I would purchase from you in a heartbeat, when you get around to them (your circle sanding jig and tread making jig are the other two - any ETA on those?). I too am interested in making toys and models, and these are just what I need. Thanks again for sharing your ingenuity and craftsmanship. Ross

Ross, I am currently working on the tire tread jig. I am doing some redesign to fix a couple of issues that had come up (slippage in the gearing when reversing directions). As for the plans on this table, I don't think I will be making any. I feel that it is too close to Patrick Sullivan's small router table from which I got my inspiration and I would feel like I was infringing on a design that he came up with.

@@s.g.devries8557 Hello, very excited to see your tire tread jig plans on Amazon! Just one question - I have Jim Byrnes’ saw with the 18” table. Will that be a problem for mounting your jig? Thanks again for creating this jig - can’t wait to place my order. Ross

@@rossbell3859 thanks for noticing, and I don’t even have my new jig video up yet. I envy your 18” table saw. As for your question, yes, you could easily modify the plans to make the wheel jig work with the larger table. I use two rails on the bottom, outer edges of the jig baseplate, and the edge of the table itself as the guide for sliding the jig forward and back, but with the larger table you would probably want to attach a couple of miter bars to the bottom of the jig and use the slots in the table as your guides instead. Nothing else would have to be changed. Thanks for asking.

hi,great video. What make/model is that little bench top table saw.

The saw is the Jim Byrnes saw from byrnesmodelmachines.com. In my opinion it is the best hobby saw out there today. Not cheap, but worth every penny. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for this - do you have dimensions available ?

John Barlow The top and bottom boards are 12” x18”. 3/4” thick on the top board, 1/2” thick on the bottom. The sides and back are also 3/4”. The sides are 10” tall and 11” wide. The back is approx.16” wide by 10” tall. The opening sizes are sort of arbitrary just so long as the side openings are at least 2-1/4” from the bottom so that the router bit holders I made would protrude up into that opening. The fence is 21” long, 3” wide, and 2-1/4” high. I hope to have a website soon with available plans but it isn’t ready yet. Thanks for the question.

I notice your Byrnes machines in the video. I am in the UK and have the table saw and disc sander. Unfortunately shipping and duties make them very expensive here. The thickness sander is on my wish list. Keep up the good work

S.G. DeVries thanks for the dimensions. I have started building my version of this. A couple of questions . The side panels have holes cut near the top - are they to help lifting?. Secondly, early in the video when you show the complete table there appears to be a black piece underneath the router - is this for support. Thanks
