I too suffer from depression and anxiety. A messy house only adds to this but sometimes I just physically can’t do it and all I want to do is sleep. I spent 1.5 weeks barely being able to move due to a back injury. My house looked like a bomb hit it. Only just this week been able to clean without excruciating pain. Thank you for keeping it real, for not “sugar coating” things. There will always be trolls and haters that judge, particularly on a social platform such as KZbin. But please know, for all the haters there’s people like me that appreciate the rawness and honesty in your videos. So thank you for continuing to provide inspiration for us mums. I am so glad I ran across your video. Listening to your story of how you absolutely could not bring yourself to do things like you used to and only did the minimum to get through the day. That's exactly where I am at now. I'm 65 and use to clean houses for military families who were getting transferred to a different city or country. I loved it and was kind of a neat freak. About 20yrs ago started having medical problems, one thing after another. I started slacking off on cleaning and organizing. Today I feel better than I did at 45 physically, but suffer from severe depression, the last 5 years being the worst. I've got a new therapist and new medication and there's a glimmer of my old self trying to come back. Watching your videos has me wanting to start cleaning and organizing again!!!

I realize I just commented but I am really disappointed that you get harsh criticism about your videos. Until these people “live a day in the life of your shoes” they have no right to criticize. Why on earth would anyone feel the need to post a negative comment? Hang in there! You have a lot on your plate right now. Please disregard those negative comments. I am 65 and had a Stroke and had l Lupus and severe Fibromyalgia (both chronic illnesses) plus depression. So I can relate to your inability to keep up with your cleaning at times😢 Please don't ever second guess yourself or let anyone compare to others!!!!! Haters gonna hate. You are doing awesome job😍 Being a full time Mom is a hard job. I sometimes can't get out of bed and have gone weeks without vacuuming, laundry piles up and dishes (well that's another story 😂) my motto is it will still be there when I have the energy to take care it and I may only do one thing a day because it's all I can handle. You can use empty toilet rolls for the chargers and cables.Then you can mark on the toilet roll for what it is used. You can even cover the outside with wrapping paper if you don't want to use it just like that.Hope it helps you. It works for me. Greetings from South-Africa

I have also started simplifying my cleaning products. I love blue land but I also use Dr. Bronner’s Sal Suds and it is amazing! Super concentrated so it last forever and it’s non toxic. I use it on everything with no problems. Thanks for the organizing inspo! ❤️

Just like you, I have severe allergies. A tip for you with the little fan that you were vacuuming-if you find something to pop off the little round plastic lid with the label on it, you can usually find screws or even just unscrew the parts in order to clean it. Sometimes if you do a search online you can find directions on how to take them apart. Love your videos!

Pro old mom tip: for cleaning items with sprayers, use a tension rod in the back of a closet to hang the spray cleaner bottles from. It keeps them out of the hands of well meaning littles and uses empty space for small areas. You can also use them in cabinets to not use valuable shelf space. I also drape my steam mop pads over the rod too. (Can you tell I live in a small space? Lol)

Consider putting the head of your bed on the wall where the small window is. Hang double sets of curtains, one over the window and one over a mirror (about the same size as the mirror and spaced the same distance from the opposite wall. It looks like a foe window.) (If your allergies allow it! My girls had serious allergies too, so we took our cutains in their rooms down and washed them once a month.) Just a tho't.

I remember your stage - well done! My Junk drawer and craft idea is to put odd misc items in colour groups. When you need the purple scissors, it's with the purple travel sticky roller, purple comb and purple mini glue stick. You get the idea. Works with cereal / rice boxes too! I noticed you didn't cut the expiry date and label (to stick under the lid) of your new acrylic containers. I slide the original label down the front of the acrylic container (with exp date) on larger containers. Orange stickers for rotating goods - I put orange stickers on every store cupboard item when I am tidying and then when I do a big clean out - those items go to charity first. Also, I plan! to use the orange sticker item first! Bless you and enjoy this special time Helen

If you start feeling sick after you figure out the Dustoff look and see if any of your bed stuff is made of latex I found out I almost was dying because of how much latex they put in stuff made for our beds

Thank you for sharing your videos . I am so impressed with how much you accomplish! (I remember how non-stop busy I was as a young mother ) I enjoy your common-sense approach to organizing & cleaning , especially that your doing everything for your home/family (not to out-do or compete with other youTubers ). I would like to know, please, where you got your "back-of-the-door storage system" you featured in your Linen Closet re-do ? Also, do you have a link to your " white adjustable shelving unit" in your bedroom closet .. (I think it's wonderful, I really need something like that) and I couldn't find a link to the Shopping Site you discussed , as I'd like to use that for ALL 3 of the places you mentioned & want to do it thru YOUR site. You deserve the credit ! Please don't be hard on yourself, I've suffered with Chronic Depression (I think partly because I was such a perfectionist that if I didn't , or couldn't do things perfectly , why do them at all?? then nothing got done & I'd get more depressed ( visious spiral !) also, went thru postpartum depression ( because I missed being pregnant ! so just be very kind to yourself . You don't have to be Wonderwoman/Supermom 24/7 ! It's okay to use paper plates sometimes (so that instead of doing dishes you can enjoy yourself & your family . Or claim some time for pampering yourself ( that is a non-negotiable) ; as well as having a trusted family member watch the babies so you and your husband can have ' Date Nites ' & to you can just be 'Catherine' ( not just "Mommy" ) and go do things you two both love to do , things you did together before the kids came along ( some couples make it a rule that on date night they don't ❤️‍🩹
