Yes, you’re right about that. Dm7 to Dm6 is essentially the same as going to G7+9. With jazz it sounds interesting when you avoid root position at least part of the time. And especially with Giant Steps it sounds better to create bass lines that progress stepwise, as opposed to lots of leaps of 5ths and 4ths.

Anthony i wanted to apoligize about the complains about the lessons. In all reality i already know or have differnt understandings of aproching the lessons ....playing for nearly 30 plus years i beleave you shurly know what im talking about ( like inventing a thousand scales on one note in any direction ..right?)
