Hey man, the jacket you bought is from Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. I can’t begin to explain to you how absurd it is that found that in Japan. It’s a run that the police take part in I think lol. Either way, Newfoundland is probably one of the most unique places in North America, and as homage to the jacket you should come check it out! We have our own dialect and culture, very similar to Ireland. Love your content, keep it up.

I used to sell thrift store finds on eBay, back around 2002, and people from Japan always bought the craziest stuff like that. Seriously. It was pretty cool. They snapped up all of my Frank Zappa 8-track tapes for a LOT of money too. They're into all kinds of quirky American stuff. That was educational, selling around the world before eBay got all ruined.

I lived in Sendai for 3 years in the late 90's/early 2000's, and I think it is the most underrated city in Japan. So many things to do in and around Sendai! I used to live very close to Kokubuncho, and my wife grew up there from the age of 12. It's said there are 10,000 bars there. I believe it, I went to at least 5,000 of them!🍻😆 Enjoy your time in Japan! I'll be there in November!

Haha, your clothes will be fine, just air 'em out. I only smoke at concerts and music festivals, and I always wear my best. It washes out so long as it's once in a while. Also, I think the reason why Japan's vintage clothes are so well preserved is because they don't use driers. I collect Grateful Dead shirts and wear them until they have holes and then cut the cool parts out to make patches. I found that I can make graphic tees last well over a decade if I just leave them to hang-dry. My buddy throws his in the drier and his only last 2-5 years before they're falling apart. It's the heat that ruins the clothes, not the smoking (and Japan does a lot of that).

I think the best part of your Japanese videos is it shows how little serious Japanese you really need to communicate. Once the drinks are flowing, people drop the particles, you don't need to worry too much about keigo, and you can literally just toss out a word salad and people understand. Don't let low Japanese ability stop you from just going out and trying to experience cool stuff. You'll also run into people who speak some English and you can mix the two. Tons of fun
