That's how ferries run in Sunderbans. Bengal maritime history is ancient and rich. A British ship would last 11 years whilst a Bengal ship would last 20 years. In all seriousness though, you can have a fairly safe and hassle free tourist experience in India if you plan your trip carefully and do your research before hand. You can book your stay in good hotels, hire a driver who will take you around and even guide you for the whole trip, and just go to the places worth going to. If you go head first without planning, flying by the seat of your pants, like you do, obviously it will be chaotic, stressful and difficult. So, you shouldn't be surprised. 🤷‍♂

there is no ice required coz the fish is being eaten barely 4-5 hrs after being caught, its not supermarket fish which is procured 6 months in advance that it needs ice

​@@checkpeck in blistering heat...i think any fresh meat will start to rot in less than 2hours if its not being cooled down. It would be different case if you live in Europe where average temperature is between 9-18 Celsius...But India is combined heat + humidity, meat will start to smell Maybe if you cooked it with curry or deep fried it with bunch of herb, you can mask the unpleasant odour... but our cuisine love to steam fish, and you really need fresh or at least well refrigerated fish to cook that way.
