Amazing shooting and groups! Congratulations! I shot my CZ 457 Varmint in an Oryx chassis yesterday, and I was getting sub 1/2" groups with CCI Standard Velocity! By the way, I replaced my bolt knob with an Area 419 Finger Groove Bolt Knob from A&J Sporting. It's a huge improvement.

I have both and prefer the CZ, it will be interesting to see what my daughter prefers. FYI - The last match I want to a Tikka T1x shooter out shot me. He is a much more experienced shooter than I am and he knows how to work on his gun and lap the barrel, I am not even sure I know what that is. He also had this cool bipod with a joystick. I need to see if I can find one and try it, it was uguay but cool.

@@AimSmallMissSmall_TV Tikka has more potential only in having a threaded barrel & reciever.. better to spend a little coin on the receiver to barrel face & bolt face being truely square.. after the trigger spring kit & polished sear.. also get a 100th of a grain scale to weight your bullets into lots

For dissolve the carbon ring I, I soak a felt pellet or a patch with a carbon cleaner and using a rod push it in the barrel till I feel resistance of the barreling and leave it there for at least 20 minutes but you could leave in place over night if you want.

BackBaySound, I have serval of these scopes and I have not had any challenges. I first adjust the ocular focus till the reticle is sharp and the dot in the center is the size I like it. I then adjust the objective, I do not pay attention to the distance markings, I adjust by sight. Keep in mind if you have the zoom maxed out the image will not be super sharp. I love this scope for the price and like a said I have several off them and no way could afford the top end glass. I shoot the ARA match and the scope works beautifully for me.

Outstanding !!,what model and power scope are you using ??
weigh your bullets into progressively heavier lots.. the match grades have equal weight brass, primer & slug to start.. the variation will almost always be powder.. it will be worth while to closely check your head space vs ammo rim thickness.. next would be to accurize the reciever/chamber/bolt face are all square.. the only remaining factor is barrel bore dia variations to bore scope for lead scrapings in possible tight sections.. ideally a bore would get progressively evenly tighter towards the muzzle.. only hand picked/measured barrels can find them.. the CZs potential weak point is not having a threaded receiver for the barrels.. they really should be a tight heat shrink fit but its a cost thing .. but get away with it quite well.. fit a trigger spring kit & carefully flat profile & polish the sear so both faces match 100% , use blue marker or machinists blue to see for a mated match face preferably with a very minor back angle.. careful not to round or bevel the edge tip.. lightly lube with vacciline/petrolium jelly

@Errol.C-nz3 жыл бұрын
@@AimSmallMissSmall_TV its not physics.. its just careful attention to the detail small parts of our guns that make for a clean crisp trigger.. a consistent loading of bullet to chamber & a bolt that locks the shell case evenly into the chamber so firing releases the bullet slug from the shell squarely down the bore.. any dia variations allong the barrel or rifling will cause the slug to subtley oscilate or rock inside the bore & leave the muzzle in an unpredictable way.. & create short tracks of lead traces on one side or other of the bore or rifling resulting in fliers etc
