the fortwo is also rear wheel... but you are right about the roadster having the lower center of gravity (plus a better wheelbase)... though it is also a bit heavier which would reduce the power to weight ratio

i drove a smart car for the first time tonight and they actual handle really good, paddle shifters and everything, this just makes me want one even more, i just need like 12 grand, plus a hayabusa engine haha

I had one lasted for a couple of hours, I replaced with a reverie who do a retro fit for Px - although I guess you guys could make your own being a bit useful with the GRP!

... looks and sounds like great fun! A simple question though: how does it handle and behave when you start to maneuver in higer speeds like on a quirky track? The short wheel base might make it a bit unpredictable and haphazard. Any experience about these situations? Sure would be fun to try one for a day or so. :) /mtm

where i live the smart (2nd hand) costs about $10,000 and the motor (2nd hand) cost about $1200-$2300, then depending on how you get the motor put into the smart is how much the rest will cost. about $700 if you do it yourself and about $5000 if you get it done for you.

Overcome the sound? At 0:28-0:38, I think he's showing the intake boot. That might quiet the intake sound a lil...I'm not gonna try to speak for the owner of the car...but if it was mine, all I'd want to hear is the engine.
